Been here?
A huge, very tidy campsite behind the dike, with 1,100 places and large, clean modern sanitary facilities. The sea and local amenities are nearby, but the site can become very full and crowded in high season. Dogs are not allowed. Prices vary with occupancy, and recent reports mention a 4 EUR electricity fee, electricity consumption charges and a 10 Euro reception check-in fee.

I went by the campsite prices and was surprised by a price of €122 for four nights. I booked at the payment machine. After being surprised by the price, I asked at reception. They explained that the fuller the campsite, the more expensive it is. After all, the prices clearly show an additional surcharge.
Great campsite! All sanitary facilities are clean, the location behind the dyke is beautiful, and everything you need is nearby. If you choose a pitch directly behind the dyke, it is best to bring levelling blocks so you can stand straight.
Always happy to return, although it was also absolutely off-season. The Dattein pub is highly recommended.
We had two relaxing days here. The site is very well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are large and clean.
Read the price list very carefully! In addition to the pitch fee, there is an electricity flat rate (€4) and electricity consumption charges. That is definitely too much! Checking in at reception costs €10. If you check in at the payment machine, the sanitary-building card is valid only until 11:00 the next day! Very cumbersome.
Very large, clean campsite with beautiful sanitary facilities. In the off-season, prices are reasonable and it is not overcrowded. Since everything must or should be booked and handled through the payment machine, one machine is definitely not enough for this huge site in summer. You also receive only a payment receipt, with no transparent cost breakdown. Electricity is very expensive.
Fine in the off-season; I would not want to come here in high season—too large and too crowded. Our stay was okay, but next time we will probably choose another site.
Despite its size, a highly recommended campsite, with exceptionally clean sanitary facilities at all times of day. The sea is right outside the door, with plenty of opportunities for activities. I felt very comfortable. We will definitely see each other again.
Everything was perfect; we would be happy to come back!
Uncomfortable, very crowded campsite. A large car park. Great location near the lake. The sanitary buildings are very clean, but feel as if they have no ventilation—extremely hot inside. You need time and patience to leave at the payment machine.
I am no longer sure whether this is all going in the right direction. This place reminds me of overcrowded hotel complexes in Spain. One night at the basic parking area costs €35. Is this still camping, with all the circus that goes on here? Bins at the site or in the town: nowhere to be found. The concept seems to be that bins cause a great deal of environmental pollution.
The site is very beautiful and well maintained, with exceptionally clean sanitary facilities. You are quickly at the beach, harbour or town, with many shopping opportunities, and at the indoor pool. Unfortunately, the service has become very impersonal and unfriendly; you are referred to the machines. There is a €10 processing fee, and the billing and prices are unclear. What a shame.
Unfortunately, not dog-friendly.
Quiet and peaceful in the off-season. The toilets are clean and smell fresh. Next to the campsite, Edeka is open from Monday to Sunday. The only downside is that it is very windy.
Very nice campsite with many beautiful pitches for motorhomes! Friendly ladies at reception! Clean sanitary facilities and everything very central! We would be happy to come back!
The site is very large, with some excellent pitches; the sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, prices are very unclear and also extremely expensive, especially the electricity billing based on consumption.
Very nice motorhome pitch directly behind the dyke. The sanitary facilities were very new and very clean. In the evening, a small mulled-wine stand was set up, which was lovely, although it is not there permanently. Highly recommended even in December.
