B6257, LA8 9DG, Kendal
Been here?
A roadside lay-by suitable for at least two vans, with no street lights and very little traffic. It has great views, but the surface is slightly sloping and the exposed location can be windy. The M6 is nearby and may be heard faintly, while access is generally easy but narrow in places. There are no facilities.

Stayed last night on our route to Aviemore, wind was blowing but what a beautiful view to wake up too, on down side was the rubbish left but others.
Good spot for a night stop, with easy access to the M6 but far enough away that you do not hear much traffic.
Space for two campers on a slight slope. Not much traffic passing but very exposed weather wise.
decent. cars from the motorway can be heard but not bad. v.quiet and didn't have any cars pass over night. not far from services in the morning.
Lovely spot in a lay-by. Gorgeous views in the morning. We could not hear the M6, although I think that was due to the howling wind. Only one or two cars passed during the night.
Quiet lay-by with great views. Maybe 6 cars an hour passed in the evening and 1 an hour in the morning. Exposed site so can be windy. No facilities of any kind. Drove the 7 miles to Kendal for breakfast at Weatherspoons.
