A school car park suitable for a quiet overnight stay, especially during school holidays or weekends, with shaded trees, picnic tables and bins. It now has a 2.2-meter height restriction and no services. During term time, school traffic can make the area busy, so early departure may be preferable. Cycle paths are nearby, reaching La Rochelle's old port in less than 10 minutes, while the port is about 1 km away on foot.

The parking area now has a height restriction of 2.2 meters.
Ideal place for one night, with picnic tables and bins. Ideal at weekends because, as it is a school, nobody is there. Shaded and wooded; wake up to the sound of seagulls.
Great for visiting La Rochelle for free. We spent a very quiet night; the cycle paths are nearby and get you to the old harbor in less than 10 minutes. Bins nearby.
School parking area. We spent one night during the school holidays and were not disturbed. One kilometer on foot from La Rochelle’s old harbor. A few hundred meters from the cycle path. Woken only by seagulls in the morning. Good for one night and as a free base for visiting the city.
Good spot, but we were lucky to be out of school term. Check out the neighbouring schools website to see if it will be busy as it’s definitely a car park for that. Or get there late and leave early. Good access to local park for dog walk. Walkable into the town.
Good place to spend the night, safe and quiet. Several motor homes at the sight. we left early to continue our trip.
Excellent parking, 30 minutes on foot from the center, pleasantly reached by bicycle along the sea in 10 minutes. Quiet and flat place.
Especially during the school holidays, a suitable place to enjoy a quiet night and the nearby city center.
Good place to spend the night. Very quiet, but watch out for the cute roundabout shown in the photo: there is a school, so if you are not early risers I do not recommend it during term time. But if you get up at 8 a.m. like us, no problem. There are also some lovely parking areas around there, farther from the school.
Good location, and if the parking area is full there are others nearby that are accessible. You can easily walk to La Rochelle harbor through the nearby park.
It is a place in front of a school and is heavily used by locals. Please park considerately; it is not inviting to put out your outdoor furniture. Otherwise, we slept very well here.
A very quiet area with plenty of parking for motorhomes including over 7m. Generally flat area with bins for recycling and rubbish, but no services. You can walk to the Vieux-Port area in around 25-30 minutes.
