Free parking, noisy nights

It is a nice place and was clean that day. The downside was that at 11 p.m. some people had to exercise their dog right in front of our vehicle, and occasionally people raced past in their cars. This kept us awake. ATTENTION: The site is closed on 3 August 2025.✦Translating

The parking spaces are large enough for vehicles up to 6 metres or 6.4 metres including overhang. Slightly uneven. Completely shaded from around midday. Since I have been there more often recently, I must also say that larger or smaller car gatherings take place late in the evening and at night.✦Translating

Good, quiet location, although with our 7-metre motorhome we could only park lengthwise using three parking bays. Also extremely littered here!✦Translating

We spent a quiet night from Friday to Saturday. Because it is a dead end, there is almost no traffic.✦Translating

Attention! Even though it is often very empty here in the evenings and at weekends, during the week the car park is used by people who work here and is usually full. So please park properly, as instructed! It is very annoying when one car occupies several parking bays, especially when everything is full. Parking space in city centres is limited.✦Translating

Very good starting point for exploring the Ruhr region by bicycle. The nearby Erzbahntrasse invites you to cycle to Essen and the Zollverein coal mine, or in the other direction to the Jahrhunderthalle in Westpark, Bochum. A top pitch for one or two nights. Lidl is within walking distance.✦Translating

Quiet place near the motorway, with a snack bar next door. Beautiful site with a tower, squirrels, and rabbits. The only negative point is quite a lot of rubbish on the ground. We spent one pleasant overnight stop in the van.✦Translating

Very quiet car park. Some vans belonging to the local company also stay there overnight, so you can blend in very well. No disturbance at night. It felt as though only two vehicles passed by during the night. Our vehicle is 6 metres long and fit perfectly in the parking space.✦Translating

Very practical and perfectly adequate, but isolated at night. We were alone. No services. Quite a few cars turn around because it is a dead end, as well as joggers and dog walkers. A large bar directly opposite has tables, chairs, and toilets, but it was closed because it was a public holiday.✦Translating
