Busy sloping parking, poor facilities

Grey and black water can be emptied together—not ideal! Open the grey cabinet; inside there is a threaded connection for filling water and cleaning any residue. I recommend arriving in the morning by 7:30 a.m. or in the afternoon after 5:30 p.m.; it is a popular parking area for cars, which are often parked in the motorhome section! You enter Viterbo through Porta San Pietro!

We only filled and emptied tanks. Emptying is convenient, but the water fountain has no threaded fitting, so you can only fill using jerry cans. Many spaces are sloped and therefore not convenient for spending the night. It is at a crossroads and therefore very busy, although it is quiet because it is behind the police station.

As before, the description is accurate for emptying tanks and filling up. I would not sleep there because the place is not attractive, but it is functional. I cleaned the bottom of the grate a little with the hose because it was not very clean…

In the afternoon the parking lot was full, and the no-parking rule in the spaces intended for motorhomes was not respected. After 6 p.m. it is practically empty and you can settle in comfortably.

It is embarrassing that a city has such a poorly maintained filling and emptying area. In addition, many cars park near the area and prevent proper maneuvering.

I recommend using it only for filling and emptying. The place is poorly maintained. We did not spend the night there but stayed in the motorhome area, which is currently unfinished and therefore has no services.

I think emptying is possible because there is a good grate and plenty of space around it. Filling with water is difficult because the tap is not threaded and is larger than usual. The parking spaces are only car-sized, but there is plenty of room not to get in the way with our campers of 6 meters or more. We reached the medieval village in 10 minutes: beautiful and worth visiting.

Public parking. Despite the parking restrictions in the motorhome service area, I found cars parked there to access the services, making maneuvering difficult.

Area as described by others. If I may give some advice, having stayed on a Saturday, it was easy to find a spot not in the very sloped parking lot but on the exit road along the sidewalk. Free parking and level.

Excellent grate for emptying black water and an excellent drinking-water fountain.

We passed by in the morning just to empty the tanks; fortunately, there was space free of cars. Ground grate, downhill (you have to position yourself correctly), extremely heavy to lift for emptying the black tank. Mostly not level; I don't think we would have stayed to sleep.

Very close to: a protected area for nearby police offices; Porta Romana train station (for Rome); the inexpensive EWA fuel station; the health center; San Pietro Church; motorcycle parking.

We spent an excellent night in this parking lot; indeed, many cars come to park from 7 a.m.

Parking unsuitable for vehicles over 6 m, very noisy at night, free, a 10-minute walk from the historic center walls.
