Town parking, variable noise

I drove here to use the toilet, but could not find one anywhere.

Seixal is a rather old town with the charm of some dilapidated houses, but also lovely cafés. It is certainly very busy here in summer.

Large car park, but also very busy. Advantage: you can stand or park opposite the police station. Nevertheless, we drove a few hundred metres farther to the Seixal ferry car park. It is now free, and we had a quiet night with other motorhomes.

We spent one night here but it wasn’t peaceful at all. It was loud pretty much for the whole night with people walking by and talking very loud, cars coming and going all the time. In the morning there was a car alarm going off for about 30 minutes. It’s a big parking lot, but we came around 22h and could barely find a spot for a van. Lots of drunk people walking around. When we were driving around the city in the morning, we found much better place. It’s 1km further by the beach called Praia de Velha. You pay 1.30€ for 24h hours. It’s enough space for everyone and for sure way less people passing by. We cooked our breakfast here and no one bothered us.

Great place to explore Lisbon from. We spent one night here without any problems.

Large dirt car park. We arrived at 10 pm and there was still space for a 7.5-metre motorhome. We spent the night and continued our journey.

Seixal is a nice town with good cafés, very good pizza and a beautiful long promenade for walking or jogging. Friday and Saturday nights are noisy due to young, drunk locals who leave rubbish behind. It is better to park farther to the right near the police station, where it is quieter at night. The ferry to Lisbon is convenient, running once an hour at weekends and more often during the week.

Parked up here and walked around found a paid parking round the corner very cheap £1.50 24 hours other Motorhomes here and residents with Caravans right next to the ferry terminal first night was good second night it went from a motorcycle race track at midnight then parked cars all around talking until 3.00am no sleep then at 5.30 the car park fills up with ferry cars

We stayed here for three nights and visited Lisbon from there. The ferry port is about a 15-minute walk away, with an 18-minute crossing. Perfect. We felt safe and welcome at all times. A small park and beach are nearby, along with great cafés, groceries and restaurants. There is a drinking-water fountain opposite the car park.

Impeccable. Superb view of Lisbon. The police station opposite is fine with people parking and spending the night. A new motorhome area will open 100 metres away soon, apparently with all services.

Perfect. Quiet place with views of the water and Lisbon. The ferry to Lisbon is about a 15-minute walk away, with cafés nearby. Café Villa Tres, about 5 minutes away, is recommended. Great breakfast!

We spent two days at this area. Very few people, so it was very peaceful, and there was a beautiful view of Lisbon when the weather was clear. The ferry is very close for spending the day in Lisbon.

Great place to stay overnight when exploring Lisbon. Usually quiet at night. During the day, a ferry goes to Lisbon for €2.50, and Seixal also has a few cafés and similar places. We stayed three nights and can only recommend it.
