I recommend this motorhome area. We stayed for three days, very close to the sea and shops.Translating
Parking area with all services. We stayed here in June 2025 at a very reasonable price of €8, including everything, even hot showers. Today the price is €14, plus €5 for electricity and €2 per shower! Perhaps there has been a change of management? The place remains pleasant, close to the beach and shops.Translating
They say it lacks shade—I don't know how they saw that, because there is no shade at all. Now they charge €14; the shower costs €2, water is also charged, as is electricity. Given the heat and the lack of shade, it is better to go to a campsite with all services included, which will surely be better maintained than this place.Translating
A pleasant area, but it lacks a little shade on the pitches. During the week, someone was present and answered all our questions and solved our problems. Perfect area for a stopover or a short stay.Translating
Ideal for passing through. Monitored by cameras and secure. The pitches are large, without shade. Everything is automated. First register at the blue machine, then activate the electricity service at the green one. Do not expect much; I never saw any staff, and the area looks somewhat neglected.Translating
As it says on the label, a large open space with designated parking for EHU or non EHU. Not a lot of shade but adequate facilities. Ideal for a day on the beach or a cycle along the front.
Everything is perhaps too automated. A good, very spacious parking area; only the parking price is reasonable, while all the services are too expensive. One shower did not open and "stole" €2 from us, and there is no one to report it to. If you are a family and start paying for showers, camper water and electricity, it costs more than a campsite.Translating
Unfortunately, the pictures are very confusing. It is purely a gravel area with rather small pitches. From only a few pitches can you see the harbour. The price, however, is absolutely excellent. We deliberately did not use the sanitary facilities. At €9 plus €5 for electricity for 24 hours, there is nothing to complain about.Translating
Very nice place. Perfect.Translating
Superb motorhome area, within walking or cycling distance of the town centre. Fairly spacious, hardstanding pitches. Many services.Translating
Thank you. Our annual stop on the way to the Pyrenees. Plenty of space, reasonable prices and welcoming staff. It just lacks a little shade for hot weather.Translating
We spent three nights at Camping Park. It is a spacious, pleasant area with services, close to the beach, fishmongers and town centre. The toilets are outdated and too close together for my taste; privacy between two people is very limited, especially between men and women. We have toilets in the camper, of course, but if they are there, they are meant to be used. Otherwise, the quality and price are reasonable.Translating
As during our last visit last year, the spacious, clean facilities are still maintained by the young, friendly caretaker. The pitches are adequate, with electricity hook-ups available for an additional fee. I thank the town for providing this reasonably priced area.Translating
Good paid area, very large, a 25-minute walk from the town centre.Translating
We spent a pleasant week at this site. The price is excellent. However, the sanitary facilities are dirty and only just usable. The beach is great and easily reachable on foot. There is also a small supermarket there.Translating
Beautiful area, large spaces, quiet, close to the sea. Fishmonger at the port every morning. A few trees.Translating
A pleasantly surprising motorhome area, with beautiful beaches, a nice harbour with a brasserie and ice-cream parlour, a Sunday market, and well-equipped facilities.Translating
Very large motorhome area close to the sea, village and port. Everything is automated and functional. It was too windy for us to enjoy it as planned.Translating
Large parking area; you only pay for what you use—electricity, water, shower and so on. The area has free camping tables, toilets and connected griddles, as well as a waste disposal area and bins. Very well maintained, with clean toilets and showers. We are delighted and will return.Translating
Superb area, very well maintained, with or without electricity, large pitches, shops nearby, quiet, clean toilets. When I read some comments, I find people very demanding and always critical. We will return and recommend this area. We have been motorhome travellers for 20 years and fully approve of it.Translating
An area that should serve as an example to so many others. Here you only pay for what you consume. The area is divided into two parts: one for those who take the services and another just for parking. Everything is shown on your entry ticket. Bravo, and thank you for not making everyone pay for people with air conditioners or other energy-intensive and polluting equipment.Translating
You can always do better, but it would be difficult here! A very beautiful, well-designed motorhome area, 10 minutes from the village. Bravo. Address: Quai des Tourettes, 66420 Le Barcarès.
Super area, very quiet and inexpensive. If you take the full package—electricity and water—it costs €16; in some places it is more expensive and much worse. A nice little restaurant two steps away, "De la mer à la table", with good and generous seafood couscous. Be careful, you have to order in advance. Very friendly staff; don't hesitate.
A parking area that deserves credit for being there, but it is a little far from everything and clearly lacks maintenance. A bit unfortunate. Rate: €14 with electricity.
I recommend it. Reasonable price for all the services offered, and not too far from the centre of Barcarès.
Pleasant place near the shops. Services are a little expensive.
Huge camping area—we stayed one night for €9. You can choose pitches with electricity, which cost €5 more. Everything is handled through machines and your ticket, which you take at the barrier. German is also available. The showers (€2) are old but serve their purpose. Everything was quiet and had all the essentials. You can cycle for miles.
Very large area, with an electricity zone and a zone without electricity. €9 per 24 hours for parking plus €4 per 24 hours for electricity.
Pleasant place near the shops. Services are a little expensive.
Convenient but not very well maintained, next to an abandoned hotel, with many mosquitoes. A shame.
Very beautiful and well-maintained area. Possibility of having electricity or not: €9 or €14 per day, except in high season. It is secure and has many waste-disposal and filling points. Be careful: when it is windy, it shakes because it is not sheltered, or hardly at all. Note that the Wi-Fi does not work in the area without electricity.
Excellent area at a very affordable price, which can be adapted to your needs. All the services and more, and very well located, so thanks to the mayor of Barcarès.
11 April 2026, outside the season, two days here with the family. Very large, well-equipped pitches, €9 for 24 hours. Children's living area with picnic table, close to the town centre and shops. Pitches with or without electricity, clean facilities, nothing to complain about. Cold shower after returning from the beach. No parking restrictions in the town centre; motorhomes can stay overnight in front of the Super U, and likewise in front of the post office and port.
Beautiful area, but access to the services—drinking water and showers—is laborious and does not work properly. Payment was made, but the service was not provided. Fully automated systems have their limits.
Well situated, close to the beach and town centre. Perfect for a stopover.
Large motorhome parking area. Everything is automated. Two stars deducted because the shower doors did not open when I presented my QR code, which had two credits on it. Because I presented the card several times to open the door, my credit was also taken. There is no phone number anywhere to get assistance. The hotel is closed too.
Area exposed to the wind. The optional services significantly increase the initial parking price of €9, and it is not very clear how to use them, all through QR codes. No shade. The town is dead outside the season. The seafront cycle paths are deteriorated. The tourist revenue from motorhome travellers seeking sunshine seems to be the only winter resource in this soulless corner.
Very beautiful place, very friendly welcome, pleasant and clean sanitary facilities. One point deducted because the ground is sloped.
A simple but excellent overnight stop with a very friendly welcome from the owner.
Peace and space.
