We spent the night in the upper part of the parking area, next to the padel courts, which are in use until 11 p.m. Quiet night, with a few cars passing but no disturbance.✦Translating

Convenient free parking for visiting Coimbra, 20 minutes on foot from the university. Thanks to the municipality. We parked across several spaces because our vehicle is 7.60 meters long.✦Translating

Very good parking for visiting the city. A lovely walk through a large park leads there. We did not stay overnight, only had lunch. It is sloped but very nice. There is indeed traffic noise, but it is manageable. Beautiful place with plenty of space.✦Translating

Free parking mainly suitable for vans under 6 meters. A paddle club nearby offers coffee in the morning and toilets. A lovely little bar downhill serves good wine. We cycled up to the university, but it was too dangerous. Small cobbled streets and steep gradients. Go on foot or by bus.✦Translating

Quiet area 20 minutes from the beautiful part of Coimbra. There is a steep slope in the lower part of the parking area; the upper section is more level. Street lighting at night. We spent a peaceful night.✦Translating

It was a good night here. You can walk to the beautiful city in 20 minutes. If you like eating local food, we recommend Maria Rio. An incredibly nice owner who speaks excellent English. Excellent food and wine.✦Translating

large car park 1 hours walk from town. it has lots of spaces 50+ it's a large municipal car park no facilities apart from recycling.

As mentioned below close to city with no services. The city is worth a visit. The parking lot is next to an outdoor pool and maybe busy during summer time. If you are over 6.5 meters it would be hard to find a spot during the summer. We are 8 meters and are parked sideways to fit in. Down along the river is unofficial parking for bigger units

Great place; this area is just for a stop, not overnight. Along the river, the other area seemed better to us, with access to the city center via the footbridge. It is wooded and has water activities. It is worth staying there for less than 24 hours. Downside: no services, but they can be found 20 km away.✦Translating

The park is large and paved. It has some incline, but also many level and shaded spaces. The only downside is the noise from cars passing on the road behind.✦Translating

Free, quiet parking next to a padel center. There is shade, but most spaces are sloped. We ended up parking on the neighboring street, where the spaces were more level. Easy access and 15 minutes from the center. To get to the university, since it is uphill, we took an Uber for €5. We did not stay overnight because we were passing through.

Very quiet place to sleep, clean and safe.
