Calm gravel site, three-night limit

Two areas. At one, the barrier is broken. Around 5 p.m. all the regular spaces were occupied, but at 8 p.m. only one space along the side was taken, so it was not yet full; the side also has electricity. Fancy toilet and shower building. For a five-star campsite, the playground is rather sad.

We stayed here for two nights and were very satisfied. There were very clean and modern sanitary facilities, reached by a short climb. Since we travel with a baby, we were pleased to find a baby bath in the sanitary area. Fresh bread rolls were available in the morning. Anyone wanting more can find a suitable pitch higher up at the actual campsite, with a spa area.

We stayed at the motorhome area for two nights. The first night on the side, and the second night in a nice marked space. It is advisable to arrive by 1 or 2 p.m. at the latest if you want a proper space. After 6 p.m., do not bother trying; even the side spaces were full. The campsite showers and toilets were perfect. The restaurant is also recommended.

A motorhome area in front of the campsite. Take a ticket at the barrier, then walk up the steep path to the campsite. Maximum three nights. €102.60 for three nights including tourist tax. From here we visited Kehlsteinhaus, Almbach Gorge, and took the bus to Königssee. The only disadvantage is that the beautiful sanitary facilities are located so high up.

Three nights for €28 are possible at this area immediately next to the five-star campsite. All services are available, provided you are willing to walk. Showers, toilets, dining, and shopping are available at the campsite. Registration for renewable 24-hour periods is done at reception. Parking for the Eagle's Nest with documentation center is a 1.5-hour walk away.

Two pitches below the campsite, nicely laid out. €28 including toilets, showers, and electricity, plus €3.10 tourist tax per person. Parking spaces are sufficiently large. Water and waste disposal are on the road to the campsite. Good starting point for bike tours; the bus stop is a few minutes away.

It did not really convince me for €28.

A real bargain for the region. We paid €102.60 for three nights with two people in a panel van, including electricity and tourist tax. Luxurious sanitary facilities and bread rolls for sale uphill at the campsite. However, the pitches are rather narrow, there is no view, and the path to the sanitary facilities and bus stop is steep. The bus takes you quickly and free of charge to the salt mine and Almbach Gorge.

We stayed in the parking spaces at the bottom of the hill. You drive through the barrier and park up. Walk up the steep hill to the reception of the actual campsite. Great views, restaurant, shop and pool.******unfortunately at the time of our stay, the barrier descended too soon and hit our van (6.8m) both times, and others, despite driving swiftly through.****** Reported to reception.

Very nice motorhome area; you can use the campsite's sanitary facilities, and everything is very clean. In high season the pitch costs €27, which is worth it, as we have stayed at more expensive places without sanitary facilities where vehicles were packed tightly together. Here it is essentially like a campsite, with pitches separated by wooden beams, giving everyone privacy.

Nice pitch for exploring Berchtesgaden or Salzburg. The showers are huge and clean and, like the campsite toilets, can be used by guests. However, you first have to walk up a small hill.

I normally do not criticize dusty, cramped, and sloping places because you are glad to find anything at all in tourist hotspots like Berchtesgaden. But this time I will, because €28 per night for what is offered here is a rip-off, an outrage. Half would be reasonable, at most.

A superb motorhome pitch in a beautiful landscape. Disposal and fresh water are right outside; water costs €1. A reasonable high-season cost of €28, which includes use of the campsite's service building.

Unfortunately, there is no Wi-Fi down at the motorhome pitches, and you have to walk up the hill to the campsite for the sanitary facilities. Chemical and gray-water disposal are nearby, and it is recommended for one night.

Excellent value for money! €23 in the low season, everything included: electricity, sanitary facilities, and water/waste services. Regarding the sanitary facilities: pure luxury for a motorhome area. Immaculately maintained shower and toilet area. There are no shower cubicles here, but rather spacious shower rooms with a sink, mirror, power socket, stool, and hooks for clothes that stay dry because the shower room is so generously sized.

What I do not understand about such a great and expensive site is why there is no shelf for shampoo and so on in the showers. We paid €23 for the pitch. Good starting point for taking the bus to Salzburg or Königssee. We would gladly return!

At €23 per night, this is excellent value for money. We stayed quietly and safely; leveling blocks are sometimes necessary. The sanitary facilities and water/waste services are very clean and pleasant, located up at the campsite. There is also a restaurant and kiosk. Really good for one or two nights.

We stayed there for three nights with the motorhome. There are two levels, and you can look around beforehand to choose where you want to stay. Beautiful grounds, clean, friendly staff, and everything uncomplicated. We would gladly return. For campers who are not good on their feet, the climb to the sanitary facilities, which are clean and modern with hot water, may be difficult.

Excellent motorhome area. Modern sanitary facilities. Resort and spa right next door, not included in the price. There is also a top-class inn opposite.

The pitch is nothing special, but Berchtesgadener Land has a lot to offer. It was a shame that they charged us €28 instead of €23, which would have been correct according to the listing, but reception would not budge. A little disappointing. Outside the site, the water/waste area with a ground drain can also be reached by large motorhomes without booking a pitch. Tip: Michelin-starred chef Uli Heimann at the Kempinski.

Arrived at 6pm and the parking was full, apart from one space that was reserved with someone’s table and chairs? Had to pull up on the side (not in a bay). Expensive for parking (28€ , no electricity)

A small, quiet parking area belonging to the nearby motorhome site. The wonderful showers and sanitary facilities can be used. Very nice staff, beautiful landscape. Pitch with electricity €28. Highly recommended. We will come back.

take a ticket, go through the barrier and park, then go up the hill to reception and pay for your stay. the holiday park allows you to use the showers, which are immaculate and pot wash area. there is a restaurant and bar too. beautiful spot and quiet at night in the motorhome area. Worth the €28 able to fully service the van, water €1 though

Really superb delimited pitch with a beautiful view. Available and competent staff. The toilets are numerous and luxurious. All waste-disposal services are accessible and clean. The best we found in Germany.

Ended up at the motorhome harbor in the evening but were very satisfied. Sanitary facilities very clean and modern, several washing-up stations, and the small kiosk was practical for us too. Good bus connection to Almbachklamm.

Lovely quiet nights sleep, cassette was free,but water was paid however we did not need much so we filled the kettle from the small tap. Paid €28

We were here the last time 7 years ago, we had a great stay back then. We stayed at the bottom part of the camping site, and we're allowed to use the pool back then. Today we wanted to revisit the site, only to find out that the pool is out of bounds to the lower part of the site. I even offered a small fee, which was turned down. Shame, as we always looked back at that visit with fond memories.

We cannot understand the positive comments—it is merely a €28 parking space. Yes, the sanitary area is great, if you climb up the hill. Years ago it was our favorite, affordable and with use of the heated outdoor pool. Now it is expensive and the pool cannot be booked. We were also greeted rudely at reception. We drove on.

Luxurious and affordable camping place on first come first serve basis. Free gray and black water emptying. Fresh water costs 1€. You need to walk up the hill to get to the restrooms and showers, but they were very nice and clean.

Overnight pitches cannot be reserved and cost €28 per night. It is not guaranteed that an electrical connection will still be available, as the site is completely filled with campers. If unlucky, you may have to park next to the gray-water disposal point, where it smells of urine. You have to climb a hill to reach the toilets and showers. Absolutely overpriced and not worth the money.

Very good welcome and many spaces; the sanitary facilities and showers are extremely large and clean. However, the climb to get there is indeed steep. It would have been good to install at least one toilet downstairs for the night or emergencies. €28 in August for a van; you can easily empty gray water for free.

We initially drove to the motorhome harbor on a chance, but found only one place without electricity. After asking for one night, we were assigned an excellent pitch above with a magnificent view. By changing pitches, we were even able to spend another night there. Modern shower rooms and toilets, outdoor pool, waste disposal included; electricity charged extra.

Unique campsite! Downstairs you can stay for the stated price, even without a reservation if you can get a space! Upstairs you have to book, and it is definitely worth it! However, prices vary by category. Pool, sauna, top sanitary facilities, amazing views, direct hiking trail… We were completely delighted!

Well located for visiting the Eagle's Nest. Arrive early and do not hesitate to park along the barrier if the spaces are occupied. The price includes all services, including electricity. Shaded parking. If you are lucky, the ice cream seller comes by in the evening.

Good spot, payed 28€ (1p, 1 night). Definitely recommend the restaurant as well. The way up to the facilities is quite a climb, but they are as good as any 5star hotel‘s. Worth the price.

Everything perfect, we spent one night in the parking area. Very friendly staff and super delicious food. Everything very, very clean and well maintained.

We arrived at 7 p.m. and could barely register, although registration is mandatory in order to leave. The service area is outside the barrier and we could not use it until the morning, which was annoying. Leaving before 7 a.m. is difficult. Arrival is 24/7, but departure is not. Filling up with water costs an extra €1. For €28, there are details that could be improved.

24/7 access and a super friendly front desk. We pulled in late without a spot but there was room on the side to park and sleep. In the morning we were able to snag a spot and charge up for a but.
