This roadside rest area offers a good view of the lake, with picnic benches and a trash bin. It is close to the road and can be noisy when traffic is busy, although winter visitors have found it suitable for overnight parking. The area is cleared of snow in winter.

Very beautiful place with a fantastic view and, thanks to the wind, free of mosquitoes! Right next to the road, but there is little traffic here.

A parking area with a great view. We stopped for a break, but ended up staying for quite a while. There are garbage bins and benches.

Beautiful spot by the road with a view of the (frozen) lake. In winter, the spot is cleared. We stayed here alone for one night and had a very peaceful night. Picnic benches are available. Since hardly any traffic uses the road at night, it was no problem for us and not disruptive at all. In the evening, we could see the northern lights here.
