Camp Sokol Troja, Trojská 171a, 171 00, Prague 7
Been here?
A fenced campsite in the quiet residential district of Troja, shaded by tall trees and well connected to Prague. The bus stop is about 5 minutes away and the tram about 10 minutes, while the zoo is nearby. Electricity, water, waste disposal, a kitchen, free Wi-Fi, hot showers and toilets are available, but pitches are quite narrow and there are only 2 showers and 2 toilets. Permanent campers, children, dogs and vehicle movement can make the site noisy and crowded.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The lady was very helpful as were the other staff. We had a good spot under the trees. Good food, Hot showers, clean toilets, washing machine. 5 min walk to the bus stop and 10min to the tram line. There was a great place behind to play and walk the dog. We had a good time here. Thank you.
An okay place, with super friendly and welcoming staff, nice and clean toilets and showers with hot water. The site is close to central Prague, either on foot or by tram/bus.
Pitches are quite narrow, with many long-term campers. The sanitary and washing-up areas are fairly clean but need a little refurbishment. Very good starting point for sightseeing in Prague; both bus and tram stops are nearby.
Great location close to the city. Tram reachable in five minutes. Easy check-in. Black and gray water disposal available. Drinking water filled. Electricity connection available. Very nice female operator who continuously tidied the site and cleaned the washroom. It was quite full, with many children and dogs, and therefore somewhat noisy. Campers were parked very close together to fit in as many as possible.
We can definitely recommend this site. Only two showers, but both were free and clean when I was there. The location is superb for reaching the city, as described. Very friendly reception. We would happily return.
One star for the nice staff and proximity to the city center. The site is occupied by long-term campers, each seemingly with five children and four cars. Cars circulate constantly day and night. Unfortunately, the children do not know how to flush a toilet, let alone use a toilet brush. Despite frequent cleaning, it is constantly dirty. Feels like a motorway service area.
There are no defined pitches; black water is emptied into the washing-machine sink. I assume there is a group of permanent caravan residents. The facilities are fairly clean, with showers separated by curtains, but there are too few for the number of guests (two showers and two toilets). The transport connections to the center are convenient.
The location is great, the staff is very nice, but the vibes are very weird here. Like long-term people with feral children unattended making huge messes in the bathroom, jumping on the back bumper of my van while playing, etc. The vehicles are all parked less than 1 meter from eachother. For the price (€25 per night, 1 van, 1 person with electric) felt too expensive.
Thank you for the welcome. Lots of space; the shower and toilet are not new, but very clean, and they are cleaned constantly. There is both a tram and a trolleybus nearby, so it is easy to get to the center. There is also a very large zoo nearby. Be sure to visit it.
Well connected to the city, very clean, and with adequate showers. It is small, so do not expect luxuries. The reception was very warm and pleasant, and they clearly explained how the place works.
Definitely recommended. Super nice owners. The showers are excellent, very clean, with hot water. Some pitches are a little muddy, but there are also paved pitches. The site is really very quiet. Simply excellent.
Very good place! Bathrooms in perfect condition and clean. Close to the center; 400 m away you can take tram 17 and arrive within minutes. Recommended place. The night costs 1,020 Czech korunas.
Very pleasant, with friendly people. Perfect for visiting Prague. Take the tram for 15 minutes or walk for an hour. Everything very clean, thank you.
We stayed overnight while passing through; everything you need is available, but do not expect a modern standard. Everything was very clean. The site is near the zoo and botanical garden, and the city center can be reached by public transport. Contact in German, very nice. Two adults, one motorhome without electricity: €32.
We spent three nights at this campsite and are very satisfied. - Very well located, 500 m from the tram (inexpensive public transport, €14 for 72 hours, access to the entire network) - Quiet and impeccable place (the sanitary facilities are cleaned at least twice a day) - Very practical kitchen area - Free choice of pitch (grass or paved area) Two adults, one van with electricity: €34/day I recommend it!
Good experience, a 10-minute walk from the tram. Not all pitches have electricity; there is a place to clean the portable toilet, and they let you enter even when reception is closed. You pay the next day when they open (at 9). Although it is on the outskirts, getting there from Austria means crossing the whole city, and there are many roadworks, so it is not easy! It is open 24 hours, which is greatly appreciated if you arrive late on your journey.
Nice spot to explore Prague. The owner is friendly. However there are just two showers. Can be a bit crowded at times.
Arrived late at night, but there’s no problem to enter if have a free place, and in the morning go to reception and pay. Very kindly people. Everything is clean. Perfect environment, close to the centre and zoo!
I give it 5 stars. We were welcomed with great kindness. At my request, the manager found us a stabilized pitch because part of the grounds is a little muddy and the motorhome is heavy. Clean sanitary facilities, and Prague is 15 minutes away by tram 14. We had a wonderful time. Dogs are welcome, with many safe play areas along the river embankment.
Arrived late in the evening without a reservation. Very friendly welcome in English. We were free to choose a place and complete check-in the next day. Spacious pitches. Ten minutes from the tram to the center. Clean toilets with toilet paper. Ideal for visiting Prague. Keep it up.
I am also going for the 5 stars because this kind lady certainly deserves a higher rate than she has right now. Ideal for visiting Prague and everything you need is there. For the dog people when you walk to and/or back from the city centre you actually walk most of the times trough parks and the one closest to the camping has off leash areas.
Plenty of space for motorhomes or caravans. Tents are possible. Directly in front of the site there is a meadow where dogs can go. There is a bathroom with showers and toilets. Everything is very old and rickety, but at least it is kept clean. The tram stop is about 10 minutes away and takes you to the old town. Otherwise, there is not really anything nearby.
great, not too expensive, maybe compared to other location sure, but for being basically in the city it's one of the cheapest/most decent camp grounds. I don't understand the sanitaire complaints, it's like most campgrounds, if you are that posh stay at home. 10/10, women is friendly and knows English enough to help you out. also only place what takes you without min 24h upfront reservation
Very friendly and helpful. Despite the small number of showers and toilets, they are clean. Thank you, and please stay this friendly.
Nice little campsite. We spent three nights here. Ideal for sightseeing in Prague. Everything was clean and tidy, and the night was quiet. We can recommend this site.
Basic campsite for visiting the city; it is one of the farthest from the metro stop, an eight-minute walk away.
Modest campsite, convenient for visiting the city. Helpful staff. Facilities need improvement, although they are clean: the toilets have toilet paper, and the showers are free with consistently hot water, enclosed by curtains without doors. Ground is grassy and partly sandy; the service area is not very convenient, but it causes no problems for gray water. For black water, an adapted sink must be used. Adequate.
Functional. Value for money is okay given the proximity to Prague. There are two showers per gender, one sink with a kitchenette and therefore the possibility of cooking, but everything is rather unclean and dated. We give it three points. From the outside, the other sites look more inviting for only a negligible price difference.
Very friendly staff, including at the restaurant; they lent us an extension cord for electricity. We stayed here with a 9 m caravan. Electricity is about 600 m away, the zoo about 1.3 km away, and by Bolt taxi you can reach the swimming pools in 20 minutes for €7–8. It is a pity there is no children's playground.
It’s not a campsite but a rather basic equipped motorhome area. Family atmosphere, undersized but clean bathrooms; there are only 2 showers for the whole campsite, with curtains and unlimited hot water. Only one sink for washing dishes. Convenient for getting to the city center by taking tram 14, about 300 meters from the campsite. We paid 160 euros for the motorhome, electricity, and 4 people. Recommended.
It’s not a campsite but a nice, well-equipped motorhome area, very convenient for visiting Prague. Tram stop no. 14 is 300 meters away. Welcoming staff. We were given a very nice grassy pitch and decided to stay 3 nights. €40 per night for 3 people and electricity. The facilities are undersized for the number of guests; there is only one sink for washing dishes.
For what it is, it’s fine: good for seeing Prague and sleeping without worries. However, it’s somewhat noisy and lacks amenities. The bathrooms are fine and the receptionist is very nice.
Campsite near the tram and zoo. There is always a space available at the campsite. Considering that we only used it for overnight stays, it was great. The sanitary facilities are outdated but always clean, with hot water included. Motorhome services are also great. Friendly owner, who washed and dried our clothes for an extra €5. There is also a restaurant at the campsite.
Campsite 30 minutes by tram from Prague center, grassy pitches convenient for tents but very tight for motorhomes. Two showers and three toilets per gender, very old and run-down, but always clean with plenty of soap and paper. Drinking water; a shared area used as a kitchen, including by the owners. Kind owners who do not speak English well, but communication is possible. Paid €123 for three nights for two people with a rooftop tent.
Good location for reaching the center, quiet, clean facilities, friendly staff.
The campsites in and around Prague are packed during the summer season. Therefore, most are full... This is one of the few that accepts guests without reservations, and the person makes an effort to find us a spot. Its main advantage is its proximity to tram 14, which takes you right into central Prague in 15 minutes. The cleanliness is perfectly acceptable. A good compromise.
Pleasant contact and initially clean sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, during our stay the cleaner only mopped the floors and did not clean the sinks or toilets. Dishwashing in an old, rather dirty kitchenette. Reasonable price. Tram nearby. Road noise clearly audible at night. Next time we will reserve at one of the neighboring sites...
