Free overnight parking overlooking Camargue marshes with views toward Aigues-Mortes. No services but spacious, quiet, with good 4G/5G signal. Beautiful natural setting popular with birdwatchers; moustiques are typical for the region. A caretaker with a horse is often present.

Very pleasant little stop for a meal, with welcome shade in 34°C heat.
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed this spot, and safe travels to you all....
Superb place above the first ponds of the Petite Camargue, far from everything and safe, a refuge for many birds and for lovers of nature, peace and the Milky Way... Please take care of it and avoid light pollution from nighttime motorhome spotlights. The neighbors will appreciate it!
Passing through again for one night in transit, lots of space, very quiet, with a concert of Camargue mosquitoes and waking to birdsong.
It is very nice and the parking area is very quiet, but only if nobody else is there. Being in the middle of the countryside without outside lights is quite... risky. I said... I let go and trust in God.
The area is very quiet and really pleasant for one night. The man with his horse is very nice and gives good advice about places to visit nearby. There is a superb view from the lookout point. We will return if the opportunity arises.
Slept here on 02/01/26. The night was cold, of course, but extremely quiet, with a beautiful view and a flat grassy area. The man and his horse are friendly!
Very quiet place with a great view. We spent an afternoon and a night here, peacefully. Attention motorhomes: the town center of Cailar has narrow streets with right-angle bends.
We spent the afternoon and night here; very quiet place. The man with the caravan is very friendly. Close to the canal, with a cycle path to reach Aigues-Mortes. Really great.
Very good spot, very quiet. We were alone with just a caravan and an Ardennes draft horse! The dog barked in the morning, but well... not a big deal! There are mosquitoes, of course, but with mosquito screens and by staying inside, everything is fine... we are in the Camargue, so what did you expect...
Very beautiful, quiet parking area. I spent three nights there in my car. Except for one night, we were alone. There are mosquitoes, but at this parking area that can be overlooked.
Very quiet and fairly level, large spot on a lightly traveled road. We spent one night here from Sunday to Monday and enjoyed the peace. Since it is in the middle of nature, ants and mosquitoes are unavoidable. Thanks to the municipality for not banning motorhome parking!
We spent one night in this very beautiful and clean place at the foot of a water tower, lulled by birdsong and frogs in the distance, with a very quiet road. Easy, level parking at the back with shade. Perfect for a stopover or one night, but we are approaching the Camargue with its mosquitoes!!!!!
Not sure what to say here...The place itself is lovely, quiet, scenic. However - my evening was twice interrupted by a local tour guide who threatened fines and drone surveillance (as if...) and proceeded to party and drink with clients here until 23h. And then there is the car which spends literally all day here, blasting loud music at night, leaving at 00h, back at 08h again...strange place.
Great place in the middle of nature. Peaceful and quiet. We were alone on arrival; two other motorhomes joined us, but the site is so large that we never crossed paths. It is the starting point of a hiking trail. We spent the night lulled by the sound of frogs and birds. A really beautiful place for those who like isolation and peace. Very easy access.
It was great, perfect for those who want to settle down in the middle of nowhere, very quiet in nature! Beautiful view in the morning, an observation table overlooking marshes with pink flamingos. The road is incredibly beautiful, with horses, bulls and pink flamingos... There were three vehicles and the site is large, so we never crossed paths. Clear view in the evening for stargazing.
On 08/03/2025 at 9:00 a.m. there were 4 vehicles parked, more than 20 m apart. It seems the positive comments prevail over the negative ones. As for mosquitoes, there was a wind blowing at over 70 km/h at 11:00 a.m. Some claim it was a Mistral strong enough to knock the horns off Camargue bulls...??? Enjoy your stay, future admiring motorhome travelers.
Alone in the world among the vineyards, very quiet night and beautiful view when we woke up.
Beautiful spot overlooking marshland. Lots of birds and birdsong, wonderful. For now, almost no mosquitoes. Spacious parking on grass and gravel. We stayed here for two quiet nights with two or three other campers.
Always such a beautiful view, and a peaceful place where you can spend a quiet night, much appreciated.
