2 Calle Real, 24143, Riolago
Been here?
A spacious, flat parking area for about 50 cars at the entrance to the village, with picnic tables and a drinking fountain. Water filling and grey- and black-water disposal are now available and reported to be functioning. It is a quiet base for walking and cycling trails in the Babia region, with a bakery in the village. Enter from Huergas; the surface can become muddy after rain.

This is a parking area I often visit, and what I've seen these days leaves a bad taste. First, a French family of five showering outside their motorhome, then other people urinating behind the construction container, where there were wipes in the black-water drain, so of course it gets blocked. It's fine to put out a chair, but some people take out tables and cook outside. Then we complain. Let's take care of it.
Quiet place and a very charming little village.
Great spot, ideal for a relaxing evening, lovely walking/hiking trails. village has a popular bakery. services working and clean. Few locals were making noise at picnic benches around midnight but they left after 45 mins.
First of all, thanks to the municipality for providing this area with all these services (in fact, the icon should be green). Places like this deserve a sixth star! There are many walking and cycling trails nearby. Extremely peaceful, with a starry sky included.
Everything perfect, water for filling and emptying.
Fantastic place to stay thanks to community for providing this. Unbelievable scenery. Village looks to be undergoing restoration unlike some other ones. No bar or restaurant but hopefully we are going to find the bakery!!
Easy to access, very spacious and all services functioning. One thing to say, it can be very muddy even though surface is strengthened.
Wonderful, it is now an area with services. Grey- and black-water emptying and a water tap for filling. Many thanks to Riolago. The bakery has excellent bread and pastries.
The Babia region is beautiful and this area is perfect for starting walks, spending the night, and using its services. But beware... the village women warn you, stick in hand, not to take water because the village runs out, haha. Be sure to do it, and don't forget to visit the bakery.
Great parking area. Motorhomes/vans at the back, cars at the front. It's good to have services on site and a proper water tap, not a push button. Very quiet environment day and night, right next to the tiny village. Hiking routes available. Directions from Maps and Waze are correct. Do not follow Google.
Great place with a lovely view. All facilities are available. It is very quiet and ideal for walking. The village is nearby. It is flat. A big compliment to this municipality.
As of today, 25 March 2026, it has potable water facilities and grey- and black-water emptying. Congratulations to the town council!
Small area next to the cemetery, so it couldn't be quieter. Even though it is small, it does not fill up even in the middle of August. It has picnic tables and is near Mena's natural pool. Very quiet. Next to the village, with a bar offering mountain views.
Very good place to spend a peaceful night, without services. The village bakery sells excellent bread. 100% recommended.
Very pleasant and quiet place with a small stream. No services, but it serves its purpose perfectly. Thanks to the village for providing this place. It is looked after, so we must leave it in better condition than we found it.
The parking area is large, level, and in a very beautiful location. The village is small but very charming. They have a fantastic bakery, and you can also hike to Lago Chao. Be careful of the muddy sections of the path; I sank almost to my knees in one and could barely find my footwear, which was stuck in the mud.
It is a real luxury to be able to spend the night in a free, level parking area in the middle of a natural park. The views are incredible. Let's be considerate of others and park properly, either side by side or at an angle, not all in a line or in the middle, because then access to places gets banned and we complain.
Very quiet place with hiking routes. Be careful with Google Maps; it is important to enter from Huergas. The bakery has excellent products, and the bar is beautiful.
We were two vans spending the night in the middle of winter. Spacious, flat, quiet place in very beautiful surroundings.
Spacious and quiet. We took a lovely walk and enjoyed this place and all the snow!
