A small campsite beside the River Trent, offering a quiet, almost wild-camping experience with several designated pitches and reasonably flat spaces on the bank, except the lower bank. The price is per unit, with no discount for a single camper. Toilets, showers and river access are available, and the site is suitable for fishing, swimming and water sports. There is some road noise, and a locked gate has caused difficult arrivals.

Rang for 2campervan 7m pitches at 3 saying for 3.30 arrival - gate locked. Vans stuck out in road, lots of calls - site map would be good. Gav (36) told me off (60) 3 times over leaving gate unlocked once - maybe greet your customers! Gav came over several times, including when I was dressing after shower! Family use 3rd of Riverside, leaving 2 3rds. Road & train noise. 1 person & c/van £25.
Lovely little site right next to the river Trent. Ideal location to stop over before heading to Cannock Chase for a days mountain biking. Toilet, showers and access to the river if you want to swim or just chill.
Perfect Spot next to the river but only 10 minutes by bike to the centre of Rugeley. Very friendly owner, easy access to the site. Will certainly come back. Also great if you like fishing or water sports.
Great little site - If you want a quiet night almost wild camping, this is it There are a few designated pitches, but on the bank it is a reasonably flat pitch wherever vibe (not on the lower bank) Some road noise but considering how close to the road the site is it wasn't bad at all Owner very friendly and welcoming Will defo be back l
