Schichenauerstraße I 5, 8083, Sankt Stefan im Rosental
Been here?
This free municipal parking area beside the outdoor pool allows stays of up to 3 days and is generally quiet and clean. It includes a large grassy area, with toilets at the pool and recent reports of electricity, fresh water, and grey- and black-water disposal. The village is accessible on foot, with a bakery and rose park nearby. Availability can be a problem because stationary caravans sometimes occupy the grass for longer periods.

A nice site in itself. There is a party here every Wednesday in summer. When we were there, many caravans seemed to have been staying for more than four days. Some strange people. Nevertheless, we had a good night's sleep.Translating
Close to the outdoor swimming pool, but not too noisy!Translating
Great place, a large grassy field where you can stop with a vehicle or pitch a tent. It looks like a municipal camping area, with electricity hookups, and there are toilets next to the swimming pool. Apparently, during swimming pool opening hours you can take a shower for about €2. Completely free, ideal for one night. There is a banquet hall next door; on Saturday we happened upon an Austrian wedding ;)Translating
The site is occupied by fairground vehicles, unfortunately.Translating
Beautiful, quiet, clean, welcoming. Thank you!Translating
Clean, peaceful place.Translating
I spent one night here. The site was clean and all services were available. The night was quiet and relaxing. Many thanks to the municipality for this great place; there should be more like it.Translating
We spent here one night. In general we were satisfied as it was calm, next to a small creek. Possible to unload grey/black water and have fresh water as well. No throughout traffic, which is good. Easy to access the village, which has a nice bakery and rose park as well. Translating
We spent one night here. Peaceful place, although there was construction work next door. Electricity can be obtained from three or four posts.Translating
All taken by stationary caravans that seem to be living there. They have placed themselves in a circle so can’t park. It felt weird so we decided to leave. Translating
We would have liked to stay today, but unfortunately the entire meadow was once again occupied and littered by traveling people with French and Swiss license plates. What a shame about the beautiful site and town; this time the hairdresser and excellent baker will not earn anything from us either.Translating
Great area, quiet ,nice tot spend a night hereTranslating
Larhe green flet area with facilities. We spent a quiet night here for free. 100% recommended.Translating
Wonderful place that is well used, but there is enough space for that. The wastewater was easy to dispose of, and the fresh water worked well with a 50-cent coin. A great starting point for walks, both toward the rose garden and in either direction, where I took some short woodland walks.Translating
We spent a largely quiet night here for free. There is electricity and water and waste disposal, and very friendly local residents also walk here. Recommended!Translating
It was definitely too noisy for me. The continuous noise from the industrial site next door, a truck loading station, was bad enough, and then there was a fire brigade festival at the weekend. We motorhomes were in the way, so work was going on all around us. However, I can highly recommend Buschenschenke Nagl, just a short walk away.Translating
Thanks to the town for this pleasant site with services, except for grey-water disposal, but that is a minor detail. I spent three quiet nights.Translating
Top parking area, always worth a visit. Hiking, cycling, the Rose Trail, Glojach and much more. Great infrastructure; be sure to visit Buschenschank Nagl-Hiebaum. Excellent wines and perfect snacks to go with them. The initiator of the parking area, Mr. Director Suppan, regularly cycles by and asks whether everything is okay for the campers, offering valuable tips. Thanks to the municipality for everything!Translating
Great spot for the night, we might even stay two nights! Electric Hook Up available. Water available. WC available AND we're made to feel welcome. Perfect.Translating
Everything you need, and a free parking area for a maximum of four days. Thanks to the municipality!Translating
What a great place, and free as well. Thanks to the municipality. Space-saving parking would definitely make more sense!Translating
We love this place; it often lies along our route during our travels. Water and electricity are available at the post, usually €0.50 per kWh. Toilets are nearby, about 50 m away, and the municipal beach is about 100 m away. If some people parked sensibly, many more could fit.Translating
Everything great, with very good ice cream nearby :)Translating
Nice site near a very beautiful outdoor swimming pool. Electricity and water available for a fee; disposal possible. Hofer and Spar are within walking distance. Unfortunately, it is currently occupied by traveling people who behave rather inconsiderately and make all kinds of noise until late in the evening—shouting, music and engine noise. The police do NOTHING—sad and incomprehensible.Translating
Great place, but jealous people complained to the municipality. Now you can only stay for three days, no longer, and if the trees were removed everyone could park properly on the grass.Translating
A wonderful place, and free too! If there had been a box for voluntary donations, I would gladly have put some money in it! Thank you to the municipality!Translating
The surroundings are not glamorous, but there is plenty of space and it is very easy to access. Thanks to the municipality.Translating
Perfect. Excellent parking area with plenty of space.Translating
We stopped here overnight. Great free parking area. Services are available for a reasonable fee. All the necessary information can be found on the information board. Along the gravel road there are pitches with electricity; otherwise there is plenty of space on the well-maintained large meadow. Thanks to the municipality!Translating
I think the site is great; I do not understand the complaints about campers on the gravel road, because there is plenty of space on the grass.Translating
The site itself is great, but currently six motorhomes are parked lengthwise along the gravel road. Very selfish—thanks, we are moving on.Translating
Beautiful, well-maintained meadow. Fresh water and electricity available. Unfortunately, wastewater can only be emptied using a hose, as there is no ground drain. Rose garden, bakery and ice-cream shop are reachable on foot in a few minutes. Many thanks to the municipality.Translating
Quiet and level place, close to a sports complex. Fifty litres of water cost €0.50.Translating
Great parking area with everything you need. Toilets are hidden in a blue container on the neighboring property, but they are spotless. Everything except electricity is free of charge. Great service from the municipality! We will gladly return.Translating
Very nice, well-maintained and quiet site. There are currently only two motorhomes here. Many thanks to the municipality.Translating
Thanks to the municipality. The Roma are no longer here.Translating
Not suitable for overnight stays. It is occupied by people permanently living in caravans and vans, with rather noisy groups. The municipality should do its job.Translating
A lovely simple parking spot, quiet at night. I didn't need to use water/disposal or electricity, so can't comment on it, but a few other campers seemed to be hooked up. I felt safe and at ease staying here. The scenery is also lovely and the town centre is a short walking distance.Translating
It is not really a service area. You can empty the toilet, but you cannot rinse it because there is no water—it is shut off and paid for. The electricity is insufficient and paid for as well. It is nothing like they say; we are disappointed and are leaving.Translating
