Old-town parking, nighttime noise

This paved, slightly sloped parking lot beside the co-cathedral is only a few steps from the old town. It is quiet during the day but can become busy at night with young people, music, shouting and repeated vehicle or scooter traffic. Approach from the west via Via Ospedale; the eastern route through town has narrow, steep cobbled streets and tight turns. A vehicle measuring 2.26 by 7.40 can pass via the western route, but larger vehicles may not.

A bit sloped, quiet in day but busy with young people, music and shouting in the night
nice if you can get to it... you need a small van and to come from the west side. see photo for the tiny inaccessible streets from the east. quite sloping
The road in is narrow but manageable for a 2.26 m by 7.40 m vehicle. Apparently quiet during the day, but you have to spend the night to get a real idea. An endless stream of cars, motorcycles and scooters going back and forth. A lively bunch of young people. If you plan to sleep before 2 a.m., go somewhere else. Otherwise, it is great and close to the center.
Do not go through the town center: the cobblestones and streets are very narrow, and even in a van we had to reverse. But via Via Ospedale, it is perfect! Large square, with a few young people on the church steps in the evening.
We could not reach the parking area with our 8.5 x 2.5 m motorhome liner.
