Nice place with a wonderful view of the Elbe. If the payment machine refuses your credit card and coins, enter as a car for €3 and call the service number displayed on the sign. The beach oasis is open until at least October 15. A large garbage container is located when driving through the dike.✦Translating

Wonderful spot for watching ships. Fish-sandwich stands are right nearby. The upscale restaurant is a hotel and only opens for special occasions. We made good use of the sandy beach and playground and watched the ships go by. VesselFinder shows when each ship passes.✦Translating

“Naturcamping Kollmar”—so far, so good. Five stars for the view of the Elbe. But otherwise there is nothing except a freshly mown meadow. Any paved motorhome pitch is more pleasant to drive on and, above all, to walk on… €20 is too expensive for what is offered! No service or disposal facilities; public toilet 150 m away. Great place! Beautiful view, pleasant grass field, right by the water. The public toilet is indeed old, but actually clean and supplied with toilet paper. Young people were there until late, but they did not bother us. Top spot!✦Translating

I always enjoyed staying there. But the public toilets are no longer usable at night (the light has been broken for ages and they are extremely dirty), and there is so much traffic on and beside the meadow at night from young hooligans in flashy cars revving their engines and partying that, as a woman traveling alone, I felt very uncomfortable.
