20-22 Place du Champ de Foire, 18140, Herry
Been here?
The village square is currently under construction, so parking is available on the adjacent lot opposite the fire station. The area is calm, with a good bakery 150m away and welcoming residents. The village now has few shops, with the bakery apparently the only remaining commercial business.

The site is currently under construction. We parked in the parking area right next to it, opposite the fire station parking lot. Quiet place, very good bakery 150 m away, and welcoming village residents.
We spent two quiet nights there. It is a ghost village in terms of shops; only a small bakery remains, with good bread and pastries. Even the bar has gone under!
Parking opposite the town hall with a large lawn. We ordered two homemade burgers and fries of very good quality from a food truck, along with a small local Sauternes, and received a very friendly welcome. Walk along the Loire lateral canal. Shops nearby. Quiet night, little traffic. Thank you to the town hall for welcoming us to this parking area.
I spent last night there. I had some doubts about the quietness because it is a large square in the village center, but in the end there was very little traffic between 10 p.m., when the food truck left (I bought a very good pizza from it), and 8 a.m. The toilets are always freely accessible and clean. There are indeed two freely accessible electrical outlets.
Large mixed parking area where cars and campervans are allowed. We arrived around 7 p.m. The mayor came to greet us, welcomed us, and told us that the municipality had installed an electrical hookup with four free connections. Congratulations to the mayor, and fellow campervanners, please feel free to share. Nearby shops and lovely walks await.
By Popol45: very large, flat and quiet parking area. We easily parked our 7-metre campervan and car trailer. Very good for a stopover.
