Damaged coastal parking, treatment hum

The bistro is closed. The water treatment plant hums continuously. Update: the site was badly damaged by Storm Harry, the once-in-a-century storm, on January 20, 2026. The area shown in the photos is covered with large rocks and pieces of the broken shoreline reinforcement. Even the permanent campers can no longer stay here. Unfortunately, there is no longer any space for photos.

We stayed here for one week in November with our 8 m long, 4-ton vehicle. We parked near the permanent campers. It was a beautiful and uncomplicated place. We visited the bistro every day, which is also a way to make a small contribution since the site is free. Many free-roaming dogs, not strays, and cats on the site, plus a wonderful little beach. Level, quiet parking area. Perfect spot for taking a dip in turquoise water upon waking. There are also toilets and showers. We recommend it!

Very beautiful place. There are some permanent campers, some of which did not appear to be in use. The public toilet and shower are also open in winter. There is water there, but no tap suitable for filling your tank.

The place is wonderful. However, on Friday evening the permanent campers arrived and blasted the entire bay with their aggressive music. Around midnight we could not take it anymore and drove on.

A hidden gem where I originally planned to spend one night but stayed for four. More or less level, facing the sea. Somewhat busy during the day, but very quiet at night in the low season. Cold shower, toilets open even at night. Small cove for swimming. Starting point for a short walk. Village/port one hour away on foot along the cliffs.

Nice and quiet place in the low season, but you can hear the noise from the reverse-osmosis center.

Good place where you can spend some nights in low season. Beautiful path towards Mgarr - be careful of private signs!!- Quiet but a bit steep

Good location. Gravel parking area, not level. Very good view. Two permanently parked campervans are here.
