Been here?
This large campsite lies in nature near the A7, with a swimming lake, hiking and cycling trails, and attractions such as Heide Park Soltau and Weltvogelpark Walsrode nearby. All pitches have electricity, while some also have direct fresh-water and wastewater connections. Recent stays found the toilets and showers clean and modern, with large pitches and facilities for families. The nearby road can be heard, although nights are generally quiet.

Large family-friendly campsite with a lovely swimming lake and a great playground for somewhat older children, from kindergarten age. We had a pitch in the forest and barely noticed the activity despite the fully booked Pentecost weekend. The only disadvantage was the uncomfortable ground, with prickly needles and falling pine cones. Top campsite!
We arrived with our dog and campervan for one night. We think it is great! The standard pitch is large enough. The showers and toilets are clean, and the women's area even has a raised-height bathtub for washing babies, for example. There is also a vending machine with regional products. The swimming lake is very nice, and the city is quickly reachable by bicycle. Only the main road is somewhat bothersome because of the noise.
Three years ago I mentioned various criticisms on a well-known platform. After complaining, the review was deleted. We inspected the site again today. Nothing has changed regarding its poor condition. There are no shelves in the shower. In front of the unhygienic shower curtain there is only a stool and a hook—no storage space. The sanitary cabins can only be rented for €15 per day, plus €18 for final cleaning. Unpleasant contact with the tenant.
We arrived highly motivated because we wanted to view the leasehold plots advertised online on site. The grounds are spacious, with some long-term campers who behave rather inconsiderately. The sanitary cabins are confusingly distributed around the site. Despite paying €33 per night, we still had to buy water. The basic pitches are very small.
If you arrive later, there is no information indicating where the open toilets are. We asked the next morning. They were not very inviting and smelled of smoke, and we first had to search the site for an open door. Somehow it is not well thought out.
Good place to spend the night if you are traveling through, with good facilities and a good restaurant.
Because of the weather, I spontaneously booked an M chalet. I arrived with my dog and received a friendly welcome. The accommodation is small but nice, with everything you need. Clean and ideal for three nights. From the site you can leave at several points and walk into the woods. Perfect with a dog. The dog run is excellent. You can hear cars from the A7 and B71, but it did not bother me.
Everything is great! Very clean sanitary facilities, although mirrors would still be useful. The beer garden is very good and everyone is very friendly. Despite its size, it is very idyllic and well maintained. Highly recommended!
Beautiful site, but for €35 per night for a motorhome pitch for two people, you get terrible showers, with doors made only of wooden boards and no place to put shampoo. You can also hear the A7 motorway. Wi-Fi does not work at all. The beer garden is pleasant and the staff are friendly. Overall, however, the price-performance ratio is not quite right.
You can shower here at any time in the two large wash houses or the small toilet buildings, without extra payment and without a time limit. Private rentable sanitary facilities, as described in the previous review, are also available. A great site with good value for money.
As beautiful as the site is, showers are now only available if you book a private bathroom: from two nights, at €15 per night plus an €18 final-cleaning fee.
Very beautiful and quiet campsite. Perfect for a relaxing weekend. The only downside was the sanitary buildings. There are several small converted garden sheds with toilets and showers spread around the site. Unfortunately, they have no mirrors. Otherwise everything is very clean and in order.
I don't understand why people complain here. The previous guests probably did not look around the whole site. There are pitches of various sizes, some up to 150 square meters, with trees or on the grass. The washing and toilet buildings were new and excellent. Super-friendly staff. The swimming lake and bread service are also great. We will happily come again. Best regards.
Beautifully located site in the forest. We booked the parking-area overnight stay for €26; pitches on the main site start at €41. We were happy to stay outside, where we were alone and it was fairly quiet. Inside, campers were packed closely together and it was still quite noisy after 10 p.m. The dog run is excellent. Unfortunately, the showers were ice-cold, so we drove on after one night. Wi-Fi does not work.
It is quiet for spending one night; hardly any cars pass and the reservoir is a little further down. It is fine for spending a day.
Although there is a sign saying that hunting is not allowed, we arrived around 9 p.m. and there were several cars and men with shotguns. For that reason, we decided not to spend the night.
