Ferry parking, busy daytime

Good and convenient parking for ferry trips, but you should compare the ferry prices over the past few years. Since 2026, a camper of any length costs an astonishing €34 for a one-way trip—a fifteen-minute hop across the river. To discourage the easier detour via Limerick, there is little room for further increases; a ten-percent online discount does not help.✦Translating

Arrived in the evening. Ferry was busy but plenty of space to park. Stayed for a night, we were the only ones there. Very quiet and comfortable stay. ✦Translating

The parking area is used by locals as a commuter car park and is very full during the day. If you arrive in the evening, you can find a space, but motorhomes/panel vans only fit on the grass strip, overhanging the meadow. Maximum 7 m. The night was quiet, though. From 7:30 a.m. there is immediate activity and ferry traffic. Public toilet open while the ferry is operating; very convenient.✦Translating

Well-located parking by the sea with a beautiful view. Only for vans, as the spaces are limited in size. Public toilet nearby. Very quiet night.✦Translating

The car is full with car share vehicles and is really only suitable for vans 6m or under. We stopped for a short while to see if we could access the ferry. Unfortunately it is too difficult for our 7.5m van with a long rear end. ✦Translating

Convenient for spending the night while waiting for the ferry the following day. A little sloped but nothing excessive, and a few groups of young people stayed in cars with some music until 11 p.m.; otherwise, the rest of the night was quiet.✦Translating

Parking at the small ferry port to Killimer. (Booking tickets online saves a few euros.) Very sloped, but quiet and peaceful. Bathrooms 100 m away.✦Translating
