Been here?
Motala is a quiet, secluded lakefront wild spot with a fire pit, tree-trunk seats and a saw, suitable for 1-2 Multivans. The ground is very uneven, with trees, roots and large stones, so only two campers realistically fit. The final 5 meters can become muddy, and the access has caused vehicles to get stuck, especially after rain. The lake allows swimming, but recent comments report yellowish or brown water and many mosquitoes.

Beautiful, peaceful place and pitch with incredible tranquility! We stayed for two nights right away. It is a large area, but because of the very uneven ground, many trees, roots, and large stones, only two campers can actually fit. We would come back anytime!
Absolutely sublime, an incredible little paradise!! No litter, beside a magnificent lake, with logs and a space for making a fire and cooking. The best campsite we have stayed at in Sweden!!
The locals value their privacy and respect that of others, which is why you should always politely ask whether it is okay to stay with them for one night. Please respect this.
Basically a beautiful place, unfortunately everything around it was covered in feces, with shit lying everywhere, only hidden with paper, stones, or under logs. My partner and I spent two hours cleaning everything up and disposing of it. Please take better care of the place!
Great place in the middle of nature with plenty of space. Barbecue area and saw available. We stayed here for four nights and were alone most of the time. Occasionally a car parked nearby or another one stayed overnight. The lake offers a place to swim, although the water is rather yellowish. Overall, a very worthwhile spot.
A truly wonderful place
Beautiful, spacious place by the water, with a fire pit. Lots of mosquitoes, but it is fine by the waterfront. The water is brown and there are many aquatic plants here, making it less ideal for swimming. The last part of the entrance is muddy, which could be a problem for heavy vehicles. Our car had no trouble.
Nice place, but the entrance is very difficult; several vehicles before us already got stuck, even in dry weather. The ground is completely churned up. There are more than enough mosquitoes, and occasionally a few snakes come visiting across the water.
Spent a quiet, relaxing night. Great fire pit, right by the secluded lake.
