Free car parks at the small Schnepfenried resort, very quiet outside the ski season and especially quiet after 7 p.m. Activities nearby include tree climbing, sliding buoys and hiking, with a restaurant serving local specialities. Very clean public toilets are open all night, and the area has views over the Alsace valley and the Black Forest.
