A large, flat parking area beside Gerakas beach, suitable for a quiet overnight stay. The beach is less than 5 minutes away on foot and is near the turtle rescue centre, while tavernas and a minimarket are nearby. It becomes busy during the day but usually empties and quietens at night. There is little or no shade, and mornings can bring visitor traffic.

Great place to spend a night! Lovely sunset on the beach. Maybe consider donating what you’d spend on a park up to the turtle centre :)
Good option for one night. Less than five minutes from the beautiful beach.

A very good spot! I felt very safe, and the "Turtle Saver" centre is opposite. Very interesting. Many taverns nearby, also easily reachable on foot in about 10 minutes. One point deducted because there is indeed a busy flow of tourists in the morning. Very quiet at night; during the day it is extremely busy, even in September.
Excellent, very spacious parking area next to the beautiful beach where turtles nest. Crowded during the day with beachgoers and guests of the nearby taverns, but it empties in the evening. We were alone and, after a good dinner at a tavern, spent a peaceful night. Small market opposite. The parking area starts filling up after ten.
Excellent overnight parking, very, very quiet; during the day it fills with people going to the wonderful beach in the protected area. Unfortunately, no shade.
My favourite place on Zakynthos! In the morning at 7am you have the beach all by yourself and you can watch the fresh paths of sea turtles who laid their eggs at night. I stayed here 2 nights,in the rescue centre (not on the beach) there are toilets and showers. Music from the bars shut down around 10pm. No shadow, that's the only disadvantage of this lovely place.
Top spot in April, very quiet, by a beautiful beach, minimarket, bars and restaurant. Keep it tidy and make a donation for the good work with the turtles.
Flat, good parking area. We were alone. Directly opposite the Zakynthos Sea Turtle Rescue Centre. Free entry; visit it and do not hesitate to make a small donation. Beautiful Gerakas beach.
Excellent location; actually there are two parking areas, both very busy during the day while they empty in the evening. The first one on the right also has two large trees providing some shade. We slept here and the night was fairly quiet, apart from a few scooters passing during the night. Across the road there are turtles to observe, as well as bathrooms and showers.
Large free parking area where we were able to spend the night without problems. In the evening the parking area is empty and the night is very quiet, even though we were there in July. The beach is a two-minute walk away.
