Contrada Belice di Mare, 91022, Castelvetrano
Been here?
A quiet wild spot at the end of an unpaved path near the former railway line and bridge, with the beach and Belice river mouth only a short walk away. The area is clean, shaded by eucalyptus trees and suitable for vans, though larger motorhomes may struggle. It is peaceful at night, but daytime beach traffic, mosquitoes at sunset and hotel party music until about 24:00 have been reported.

Beautiful spot with many possible stopping places along the path, which ends at the old iron bridge. No problem for a van, but perhaps not for a large motorhome.
Spent a quiet, peaceful and undisturbed night. Beautiful panorama, just a few steps from the sea and the river mouth!
Quite a few mosquitoes at sunset, but clean and very quiet, just a step from the beach. We need to keep it this way. Thanks for sharing.
Quiet site, with good ground and shade from the eucalyptus trees, not far from the beach.
Excellent spot. At the end of July, few people, clean and just a short walk from the beach. We stayed for two nights without any problems. Be careful with the navigator: there are several ways to arrive. Sometimes it tries to take you through the village or through the gate of an estate; the first route has narrow two-way streets, and the second is just over two metres wide. Take the longer route from the north.
Located behind the railway embankment, so there is no view of the water, but it is shady and mostly quiet. During the day there are many cars with beachgoers, and in the evening party music from the hotels on both sides carries over loudly until around midnight. You can reach the sea directly via the railway tracks at several points. Lots of insects, and in the morning we were woken by wild dogs at our van, although they were friendly.
Perfect place to stay during the day and/or overnight. We stayed for 24 hours. The path to the beach is very easy and quick, just behind the old railway line. Really quiet, even during the day. Clean and shady!
Very clean place, ideal for a cool stop and for reaching the reserve’s beach at the mouth of the Belice via a path. We stopped only for lunch and the afternoon, but although somewhat isolated, it is also suitable for a peaceful overnight stay.
If you love nature, you cannot fail to appreciate the Belice river-mouth reserve. A shaded parking area among eucalyptus trees, olive trees, reeds and agave. The iron bridge is very beautiful. Birds in the background, peace and relaxation in the low season.
