Been here?
This is a clean, calm parking area in the pretty village of Fromelles, with no facilities apart from a bin. Nearby walks and military-history sites include an Australian memorial and a bunker. Dogs from surrounding homes have caused continuous barking before 6am.

Quiet and practical. Impeccable.
Beautiful stopover, felt very safe. Unfortunately dogs were continuously barking since before 6am, lots of them, coming from nearby homes. Couldn’t sleep through it.
The place is clean and quiet. A short walk nearby, along with a little history of France.
Arrived on Sunday, February 26. A quiet place with plenty of parking spaces. However, when we arrived, by Monday morning the parking area was full of cars. The museum was closed until March 6 for annual leave. The restaurant was also closed for vacation. We slept peacefully. No facilities.
Very quiet parking area next to a military cemetery. Ideal as a stopover. A rubbish bin is available. Be sure to visit Hitler’s bunker nearby!
Nearby: a nice walk to take around the “Hitler bunker.” Search for Hitler bunker Fromelles. It passes a small fishing pond; GPS coordinates: 50.60990° N, 2.83920° E. Nice track around the area. It is nearby where Hitler was wounded during the First World War; check Google.
stayed here for one night, super quite, we were the only one's there, perfect for one or 2 nights, no facilities just a bin...super interesting if you are interested in world War history, its called the Australian memorial where unknown/and unsure how many soldiers of the now commonwealth nations who died fighting for Britain...
I agree. It is quiet because it is well away from a lightly traveled road.
Perfect pitch, quiet, no services.
