Carrer Bernat Metge, 9-10 - Camping Joncar Mar, 17480, Roses
Been here?
A campsite in Roses, 50 meters from a sandy beach and close to the town, shops, restaurants and bars. Pitches are somewhat small and close together, but the sanitary facilities are spacious, modern and very clean, with a pool and minimarket. Recent rates included 35€ per night for 2 people in a van without electricity and 39.80€ for 2 people with a camper and electricity. Street traffic can be noisy, especially for those seeking a quiet stay.

The girls at reception were really friendly and helpful! Excellent campsite, with everything you need.
For me, it is more of a motorhome park than a campsite. The pitches are a little small, but the facilities are good, clean, and spacious. The pool is welcome in the high temperatures. The location is ideal for the beach and the town.
If you like an urban atmosphere with road noise, this is the right place. There is nothing to criticize about the sanitary facilities or anything else. Unfortunately, it was not suitable for us.
Three stars because it is more of a motorhome area than a campsite. The pitches are very tight and close together, but the sanitary facilities are very clean and spacious. Close to the beach and the staff are excellent! Two people with a motorhome, including electricity: €39.80. We did not use the pool or restaurant. As a motorhome area, it is recommendable.
Friendly welcome, decent pitches, and a slightly expensive campsite, but close to shops and the sea.
€35 per night for two people in a van without electricity. Excellent welcome, very clean sanitary facilities, pleasant pool, and a small shop on site. Close to the beach and all amenities.
Roses is an area I love. The campsite is excellent, close to the beach and the restaurant and bar area. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, spacious pitches, pool, and minimarket. The price is average; we paid about €120 for three nights, but it was a discounted low-season rate. Very satisfied.
We stayed here for a week. The toilets were always clean and the shower water warm. Several restaurants and the beach are 5 minutes away. We will definitely come back.
Nice campsite but too expensive for our budget. What a shame.
We came for the weekend of May 2, four people plus the motorhome. We were charged the exorbitant price of €75 per night. We left immediately and headed to Mas Nou campsite for €35 and a much better environment.
Very nicely located campsite, with the sea and town center just a short distance away. The sanitary facilities are modern and very clean! You can choose your own pitch. We were there at the end of April, when it was quiet, and had a very pleasant stay.
Campsite very close to the sea. You can go to Cadaqués by boat, which is a beautiful excursion. Very clean sanitary facilities and decent pitches with compacted-earth surfaces. However, the price is rather high for the season. We paid €39.50 per night for two people, the motorhome, and electricity. Free Wi-Fi. Very friendly welcome in French.
Yes, the pitches are rather small, and the sandy ground becomes very soft in the rain. The site is divided by a road, and there is only one gray-water disposal point in the larger western section. Good location but a little too expensive. We really liked the beach and promenade.
I am here right now. Perfect in many respects: cleanliness, sanitary facilities, restaurant, tranquility, town, beach, walks on foot or by bike, and prices at this time of year. Nothing to complain about.
If you like close-quarters camping, this is the place for you. Very tight pitches bordered by trees, sanitary facilities are okay, and there is a small shop at the campsite with a bread service. The beach promenade is within walking distance. Many cafés and restaurants are still closed. Very touristy, but with a lovely promenade and even a cycle path.
Campsite with very small pitches. Very friendly and helpful owner. Sanitary facilities were good. Close to the beach promenade. We stayed here in September 2025.
€38 for two people in the off-season, parked on a narrow pitch behind apartment buildings. Rather than get depressed, we continued on our way.
Campsite very well located for easy access to the town center. The pitches are bordered by small trees, making access rather difficult for large motorhomes. The heated sanitary facilities are clean. Good off-season price (€24 including electricity).
We stayed here for two nights. A peaceful, beautiful, clean campsite. Wi-Fi works well, the staff are helpful, and the sanitary facilities are spotless. When showering, put your towel over your clothes—the shower sprays in every direction. The beach is within walking distance, and the mini-market even has three types of wine in barrels! We would happily return.
The facilities are very complete. Bathrooms and showers are very clean; there is always someone cleaning the toilets. Reception staff are very helpful with reservations. The shop is well stocked. The beach is 50 meters away, and the center of Roses is a 15-minute walk along the seafront. Although it is low season, there is an open beach restaurant where you can have a drink and dinner; they are very friendly.
For €38 in January, this place should be immaculate. However, the showers had cold water, there was nowhere decent to keep your belongings dry, and having to wash dishes with cold water is unacceptable at that price. Fortunately, the location is excellent! It is true that this place does not deserve to be called a campsite.
Basic motorhome area, Wi-Fi useless. Satellite connection impossible. If you like watching TV, forget it.
This is one of the friendliest and in our opinion best campsites we have ever stayed at. Superbly situated and so very well run by excellent staff who go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Thank you
Not recommended! Complete chaos, very tight pitches, and every small gap gets filled. Probably more dogs than people, with constant barking and yapping. Electricity connections are often shared by caravans and electric hotplates. Some people occupy two pitches and spread out excessively. Everything looks neglected and outdated. Beware: prepaid days are not refunded if you leave early!
Great place, a short distance from the beach and restaurants. In summer, the campsite has a restaurant and pool.
Unfortunately, I am disappointed. The pitches are very small. Our 6.85 m motorhome was too long; the rear bicycle rack would have had to be removed. Some pitches were partially flooded. Very poor Wi-Fi. €32.50 without electricity is far too much. We are leaving today.
Seaside campsite. No reservation was needed. Clean sanitary facilities. Free waste disposal and water filling. The pitches are not very large, but they do the job for visiting the town and resting.
We always feel very comfortable at this site. For several years it has been our off-season destination for a few weeks. Friendly, long-serving staff, sanitary facilities always excellent. Large pitches and a short distance to the promenade and Roses. We will gladly return anytime.
We spent one night with all services. 10/10, clean bathrooms and hot showers! Everything was excellent.
Run, you fools, as Gandalf the Grey said! Anything but a campsite: a large, characterless parking area with narrow pitches packed too closely together, so you share everything with the neighbors. The only advantage is the beach 100 meters away. Overlooked by neighboring apartment buildings, surrounded by walls with no view.
Basically just a motorhome pitch with sanitary facilities. I understand a campsite to be something else, so I find the €37.50 price excessive. The sanitary facilities are okay.
Very disappointed by this campsite, which I absolutely do not recommend! It looks more like a motorhome area than a real campsite: the pitches are packed tightly together, with no space or privacy. In addition, the prices are outrageous: €45 per night at the end of October for three people with electricity is far too much for what is offered. The positive point: close to the beach.
Average rating because the sanitary facilities are clean and availability was possible even at the last minute. In France, we would call this more of a motorhome area; in fact, there are almost no other types of campers. Not a single tent. For spending the night, it does the job. I certainly would not spend a week there! Not cheap. The pool is irrelevant at this time of year.
We spent three nights at the site. The individual pitches are really small, but sufficient. The location is very practical, directly near the beach and promenade, which are beautiful. The sanitary facilities were also exceptionally clean and constantly cleaned. But we paid €37 including electricity, which we thought was very expensive for the end of September.
We spent two nights at this campsite, which is more like a parking area where everyone is packed tightly together. Parking is very difficult; the pitches are small and there are many trees. The welcome was not very pleasant. This campsite is far too expensive—avoid it.
