Unnamed Road, Shipka
Been here?
This is a quiet forest-edge glade close to the Buzludzha monument, which is about a 15-minute walk away. The ground is fairly level, and a 10-meter-long, 3.80-meter-high vehicle has accessed the spot. The area can be windy, but parking under the trees is more sheltered; evenings are cool even in summer. Horses may pass at night, and other roadside parking areas sometimes have water.

We slept here for two nights, very peaceful. The small ski resort was still operating because there was a little snow. The monument is a 15-minute walk away. Suitable for heavy vehicles; we are 10 m long and 3.80 m high.
We slept at the spot a little lower down. It is magnificent and very quiet. There are only horses and a few campers. It is quite windy and the evenings are cool even in the middle of August, which is pleasant for sleeping.
Perfect place. Attention: try to enter between the trees. It is a lot of place under the trees. Not windy like upstairs.
Perfect but very windy. Note that you can no longer visit the inside of the building.
Because of very strong gusts, we did not sleep directly by the “UFO,” but at the quiet edge of the forest. Absolutely peaceful and sheltered from the wind. Level ground and plenty of space. We had a good, cool night at last… in picture 4, the spot at the edge of the forest can be seen in the center.
