Western Camp

The site was great with its theme but fell short on the live action. Horses were replaced with mobility carts. Should be a place for children but more of a place for locals who love American culture. We didn’t feel very welcome on a short visit.

The campsite initially makes a nice impression. However, guests with motorhomes for one night do not seem welcome. The receptionist was extremely brusque and unfriendly and deliberately kept us waiting for a long time. After driving 800 km, we had no desire for unnecessary discussions and moved on to a free spot nearby.

We stayed here for one night in the low season. We were almost the only guests. It is very quiet. The Western village and shop were closed. It would be nice if the sanitary facilities were cleaned as well. At €38 per night for two adults and one bus, with showers an extra 5 kroner, it is not exactly a bargain. It is surely great in summer, when there is probably a fantastic Western party every day.

A beautiful site with lovely details and delicious food. There are many activities for children, including a small train ride around the campsite with a little show. You can find peace and quiet here.

Beautiful, lovingly designed Western campsite. A short distance from the ferry port of Rødby, with the Baltic Sea within walking distance. Two people and a van cost us €20, after the sheriff apparently did not feel like calculating the exact price. Clean and spacious sanitary facilities with a log-cabin feel. One star deducted because showers cost extra (5 DKK for 3 minutes).
