Been here?
Small campsite directly beside Lake Constance, with lake access, a Thai restaurant and views over the water. Pitches are often very close together, and recent comments describe anything from a welcoming stay with clean facilities to overcrowding, poor reception and a muddy bathing area. Prices recently reported for a van and 2 people range from 32,50€ to 38€ per night, with one report of 35 euros in cash without electricity. Sanitary facilities are generally clean but may be old, limited or lack hot water; card payment is not available.

Not recommended, unfriendly from reception onward. We had to wait two hours for the attendant even though many spaces were free. The pitches are tiny and packed tightly together, focused purely on profit. The swimming area is just a muddy hole. We drove on and will not return.
Very, very disappointed. No welcome at all; we did not feel welcome. On top of that, €35 in cash without electricity is expensive for a campsite that looks abandoned. We had to sleep somewhere.
We were welcomed very warmly. A superb place by the lake. €36 per night for Lake Constance is very reasonable. Restaurant serving Thai specialties. We will return.
We stayed here for one night (van and tent). The layout of the pitches is somewhat unstructured, which somehow makes the place charming! We felt comfortable and would return. One star deducted because card payment was not possible at reception or the kiosk—so be sure to bring cash!
Beautiful campsite! Even during the holidays there was still space. No problem arriving and staying. One night: €38 for two people and a VW van is perfectly reasonable. Clean facilities and also a “beach” for entering the water. Use the beach on the left, as the other one is too muddy. Nice people and good atmosphere.
The campsite’s only positive point is its proximity to the lake. The sanitary facilities are old but clean, and insufficient for the number of people. During the Pentecost weekend there was no limit on campers; we were parked right next to one another, with barely enough room to deploy the awning. Excessive price (€43 for two people, one dog, and electricity).
Beautiful little campsite by the lake. As mentioned previously, the spaces are close together. The sanitary facilities are clean. Overnight price for a van with two people: €32.50 (shower token extra: €1 for 4 minutes).
Beautiful location directly on Lake Constance! Unfortunately, reservations are not possible. The available space is used “optimally,” so pitches are very close together. On the other hand, there is lots of coziness, hospitality, and delicious Asian food cooked by Thai women.
I stayed with my van and roof tent in a prime location, so the view was priceless. As for the site itself: no hot water at the toilets or washing-up area. There are no paper towels or hand dryers after using the toilet. The buildings and facilities have seen better days. Overall, okay for one or two nights, but less suitable for children.
Beautiful campsite. The staff are very friendly, both at check-in and in the restaurant. Everything is simple but clean. The April price of just under €40 per night is perfectly acceptable. Shower tokens cost €1. With bicycle and boat, it is 25 km to Mainau (€37.70 per person including boat and island admission). There is an Edeka supermarket 5–7 km away by bicycle. Cash only!
New name and everything good? I still know the place as “Seeende” (if I remember correctly?) from camping here by bicycle. The building is still the same old, not particularly professionally built structure. I think the friendliness used to depend on the operator and changed from time to time. Anyway, everything seems listless and careless, while they still want to take your money.
We were at least received on Friday evening, but were then allowed to spend the night in the entrance area without being assigned a pitch—even though there was enough space. The next day they said the remaining pitches were too wet, while a Maranello camper received one without any problem. According to the website, reservations are not possible—apparently only for some people. An unforgettable lesson in indifference.
The view is great. But for €33 per night in the off-season, I think hot water for washing dishes and showering could be included. The site also appears somewhat poorly maintained.
The view is quite nice. If you get a spot in the front row, it is perfect. But the road is really loud and disturbing. We paid €40 for two people, a van, and a dog without electricity—and that was in the off-season. Outrageously expensive! It is very muddy, which also makes swimming unpleasant. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it.
Feels nice but overcrowded. Possibly high season right now.
Site in a very good location; friendly operator. Direct access to the lake for swimming and paddling. However, cash payment only. Thai restaurant on site, average quality. Sanitary facilities were clean. The pitch allocation is unbelievable—every square meter is filled. Tents next to motorhomes. We booked two spaces and had two motorhomes on barely 60 square meters. Anyone needing some space around them is in the wrong place here.
Avoid or try it… expensive: €102 for two nights, with a 1.5-hour wait before being placed on a pitch covered with rotting pears and therefore wasps. Packed tightly together, dirty sanitary facilities. Unpleasant welcome, no card payment. Documents not translated into English. Set hours for taking out rubbish (9:30–11:30 and 17:30–19:30). Dogs prohibited on the beach. Canoeing and swimming are fine.
Only good for a temporary stop, with everything packed away elsewhere. Parked like animals. Tents between motorhomes. No privacy, and you are placed wherever they tell you. The old man at reception is unpleasant if you do not speak German.
Basically a nice campsite. Sanitary facilities okay. Great swimming areas. However, the way the pitches are being used is no longer normal. Awnings sometimes cannot be extended. It is tent next to tent and caravan next to caravan. There are even tents on the playground. Warning: cash only.
Nice natural campsite. By the lake with a small sandy beach for swimming. Clean, well-maintained facilities. The only drawback is that the pitches are small and assigned. The campsite was far from full, yet we were packed tightly together, though in the end it was not as bad as I feared. Good Thai restaurant and games/bathroom for children. €38 for two people and one child in a van with electricity.
We spontaneously got a pitch directly by the water. We had been traveling for eight nights between Italy, Germany, and Switzerland, and this was by far the best site. Very clean toilet facilities, toilet paper and soap provided, cold shower free, hot shower €1 for four minutes, children up to 12 free. Very family-friendly, with outdoor and indoor playgrounds. Definitely recommended.
Relaxed campsite for relaxed people! If you are looking for luxury, keep going. Clean sanitary facilities, a long-lasting shower token, and special children’s facilities with free showers. The pitches are indeed tight, but that did not bother us because the campsite was far from full due to the heavy rain. Beach okay.
We arrived spontaneously by motorcycle. Two people with a tent and motorcycle: €31. Shower tokens €1 extra. Great site directly on Lake Constance. Everything went smoothly. No problems, only nice neighbors. The bistro is okay, a typical fast-food restaurant with an Asian touch. Everything was edible. Nice operators. We would gladly return.
We came without a reservation. The motorhomes are parked close together, which I find negative. However, the good atmosphere, clean sanitary facilities, restaurant with live music, and excellent lake access make up for it. Beautiful walks to the nearby villages. We will return.
Very beautiful campsite with good sanitary facilities, close to town, and directly by the water. Also inexpensive. Reservations are not possible, but they accommodated us despite the Pentecost weekend.
Beautifully located campsite for a stopover. We paid €40 for one night, five shower tokens, and a tip, and were quite satisfied.
It is okay. But for my dogs, I would rather choose another place.
Nice campsite with all the necessary services. Some pitches are directly by the lake. The center can be reached in about 20 minutes on foot via the cycle path.
Unfortunately, we stayed only one night, but I can truly recommend it. Very family-oriented and exactly how we like it. The sanitary facilities are certainly not the newest, but they are perfectly adequate. And they are definitely not dog-haters! We were warmly welcomed with our dog; they also have a small dog themselves. We would gladly return! This morning we even found a small Easter basket in front of the camper. :-)
Nice operator and lovely little site. Even at Easter, when everywhere was full, they found a place for us.
Beautiful place directly by the lake. We paid €32 for two people and a panel van. Nice kiosk serving good food and draft beer. You can walk to Ludwigshafen. There I recommend the Italian restaurant directly on the promenade. Lunch menus cost between €10 and €13.50 and are delicious.
Beautiful place with a view of the lake and level pitches. You can go for great walks or bike rides from the site. Three stars instead of five because the shower room was freezing cold despite being advertised as heated. Not very pleasant at this time of year.
