Not bad for those with their own facilities, but the site facilities were filthy. The pub was closed at 8:30, so we couldn’t use its facilities. £20 a night for a stopover with no electric hookup.Translating
OMG what a stopover! Amazing pub, fantastic food, huge portions. 5 hard standing pitches, currently no electric as services being installed, completion end Feb. Grey, black waste and water available. Free to stay if eating in pub. Once services are installed, pitches £30 night and you get £15 voucher to spend in pub. Highly recommend staying, great atmosphere and v friendly landlord. Call to book
The campsite is closed, but has been bought by the pub. The Halfway House has parking for 5 at present which are currently being refurbished. Parking is free at present so long as you eat in the pub, food is good. Looks like there will be facilities, and serviced pitches when finished, staff can’t confirm if there will be a charge, but with serviced pitches I would have thought so. It was quiet.
We were able to park wonderfully in the lot behind the pub by a small lake. After eating the best fish and chips, parking was free. Unfortunately, there is currently no electricity, but it looks like a larger campsite is being planned here.Translating
As of 28 Aug 2025, the campsite voicemail says that they are closed for the season. Apparently, the Pub next door is open and allows people to stay overnight, as long as they eat in the restaurant. Haven’t yet tried staying at the Pub .
You have to buy something to park. It is not possible to pay just to park overnight. They told us they did not have water for filling up.Translating
We spent a quiet night. The road did not bother us. We ate delicious food in the pub. We did not have to pay anything extra to stay overnight. We would gladly return.Translating
Superb spot behind the pub for one night if you eat at the pub. Delicious food and a great atmosphere. Motorhomes drive left behind the pub; there is a sign saying “MH overnight.” It is a large area with a pond in the middle and tables everywhere. No toilets, so only suitable for self-contained campers. The campsite with toilets is to the right of the pub and can be booked online. You can hear the road, but it is not disruptive. Take your rubbish with you!Translating
Very friendly and accommodating. The shower was private and clean. Well-maintained facilities and plenty of space. The pub next door was also very friendly and served good food. Both places are dog-friendly. We will visit again, thank you.Translating
Not bad. £15 for a pitch with no electric. The shower and toilet is in a shed, there’s blinds but they don’t fit the window so if you don’t mind people seeing you do your business, that’s fine.. I wouldn’t say it’s dirty but it’s not the cleanest I’ve stayed in. Dirty flannels hung over the shower and just stuff everywhere.
Lovely little site easy to find and very easy to check in very welcoming people would recommend if you like a nice quiet no fuss site
Small, very well-maintained campsite next to the pub. Super-friendly owner, clean toilets and shower. Small lake with a park next door. We highly recommend the site, and dogs are very welcome too.Translating
