Overnight parking, busy nights

Chemical disposal is out of order and doesn't look as if it will be available soon . Apparently the drainage system can't cope and a new tank requires to be installed.Abit of a nuisance if you were relying on it .

Great spot, too bad the drinking water is only available for drinking bottles; you can't get there by car.

This such a beautiful place to stopover, the toilets are very clean and open all night, Fresh water available, , lots of picnic tables overlooking the bay. I saw several Seals playing in the water, there’s a decent 4G phone signal, it’s a lot quieter after 8:00 & it’s £15 for overnight

Problems with payment system currently as only installed this week (according to staff member who happened to be there). Unable to pay for overnight stay (11pm-11am). Even if paying the £2 for 2 hrs prior. He reported it to superiors. Also CDP not open at all while we were there (6.30pm-12.30pm). Overnight quiet, but noisy recycling bins/dog walkers etc from 7.30am. Good food at nearby Ship Inn

Two parking areas: an upper car park with 7 bays and a lower overflow area with a 3m space limit. We planned to use the upper section, but it was full when we arrived at 4:30pm on a Friday. The lower area had only 3 campervans, so there was plenty of room. Clean toilets, drinking water, chemical disposal, great sea views, and just a 7-minute walk to the Ship Inn.

Attention, there are two car parks; do not stop at the lower one because it is more expensive, less pleasant, and charged during the day. The upper one is perfect and reasonably priced, limited to 7 spaces.

Hi , I’m touring the Fife in my camper and stayed here howling wind and rain, thought it cost ten pounds to find it was £15 to park in a car park in a coastal village that hasn’t got much ,totally outrageous as I was just up at St Andrews had a lovely few days for free parking,this is unacceptable cost.

Peace and quiet. Clean toilets. Fresh water tap at the building, very functional and clean black-water disposal. Potholes, yes, drive slowly. Great view. Campervan users need nothing more.

A brief visit to the car park today,very busy. Don't feel the parking spaces are laid out clearly . The road leading in was an absolute disgrace, massive potholes that couldn't be avoided.

Lovely quiet spot with a great view. Lots of potholes in the road leading up to the parking area, so take care. £10 for an overnight stay and a warden comes round late in the evening to check. Toilets are right next to parking area, so not far to run! No traffic apart from some cars arriving for a dog walk, so very peaceful and safe.

Stayed here 1 night in my motorhome walks along the coast were so nice and an easy walk ,car park was very quiet after 8pm after all day visitors had been n gone defo a place I will return too. Paid my £10 charge for overnight parking at the meter by contactless payment

Stayed here for two nights. Friday 24th October was quiet with three vans. Saturday 25th was full with extra vans staying out with the designated bays. £10 a night fantastic value. Fife council should be commended for their support for Motorhome stopovers and the facilities they provided

Very beautiful place with a magnificent view of the sea. Very exposed to the wind, so it can be rough during the night. Paid parking, £10 for the night, payable in cash or contactless.

Beautiful location. Immaculate toilets. Did not stay the night but enjoyed a couple of hours walking the coastal path and exploring the historical sites.

Beautiful location, clean facilities. Had a lovely chat with the gentleman who checks the parking lot and he explained that each vehicle should be parked centrally on each marker for the camping bays. It’s not necessarily intuitive and he recognises that and so wasn’t very strict about enforcing the exactness of each camper’s spacing in the bays. Phew!

Great place but very busy with the 7 designated bays all taken by 4pm on a blustery September week day. Decided not to risk a fine but many others taking that chance. Looks a perfect location

Busy, we shared a bay with another van, warden came round and was just checking folk had paid, they didn't mind there was for vans than spaces

A brilliant park-up. Signs have changed. It's now free to park all day and £10 from 10pm to 7am. The warden came round at 8.30pm checking tickets. We liked it so much, we stayed 2 nights. Warden came round at 8am on the 2nd day. Lots of vans arrived to overnight without reading the signage. We would definitely stay here again, one of our favourite park-ups now.

Left at 11pm - very disappointed. Teenagers camping right next to our designated bay. Loud voices, music and the stench of drugs.

Didn’t stay - the 7 designated spots were taken and at least 7 more were parked outside these. We are trying not to be part of the problems that get MHs banned in so many places. Thank you Fife for providing so many overnight places

One of the most beautiful places for an overnight stay on our trip through Scotland. Magnificent views and the area invites you to take lovely coastal walks.

Nice spot but more campervans kept turning up and parking overnight out with the 7 designated bays. the rules seem clear on the signs no overnight parking out with bays so not sure if it's okay to pay the £10 and just park up or will you get a ticket. there was no tickets on the vans that were parked up.

Lovely spot on Elie’s coast. Clean toilet block with one remaining open at night. £10 a night which can be paid by card or cash via the machine. 7 official campervan parking spots so it gets full quickly. Many vans (myself included) parked outwith these official spots with no trouble (as long as you buy and get a ticket!). Tickets are checked so buy a ticket and keep the area clean please!

Lovely spot, clean toilets. Well done to Fife authorities for providing this and many other park ups in the area. Hopefully it won't change as more camper/motorhome stays than the allowed and they don't bother paying either.

Very pleasant parking area with plenty of space. There are: - very clean toilets with a sink - an outdoor tap with drinking water. A very good place.

Beautiful stopover, stunning views and close to small village. Chemical waste disposal is no longer allowed, after being abused apparently, which is a shame.

Perfect stop over ! Good facilities and well spaced out, get there early if you want to stay overnight

Nice spot on Ruby Bay , Elie in Fife If in doubt how to park and stay the night in Fife carparks with designated overnight van spaces, I checked with the man in charge Robbie Blyth, and you park the van nose or tail central to the plot marker post. (There was a bit of a to-do with a van next door at a different Fife carpark, anyway I was correct, thankfully)

Unfortunately, 1 cubicle was shut, and we think it's where you empty your waste, I can't see anywhere else. Great views, free daytime parking.
