Parking spot at the Hulftegg pass, near the friendly Gasthaus Hulftegg restaurant across the road. Free to park, though a Kurtaxe of a few CHF may apply, and a paid ParknSleep option (CHF 30, no services) has also appeared. Spot is chosen freely on a large, flat area suiting any vehicle size, quietest at the end furthest from the road. No water, toilets or electricity on site. Best to ask permission at the restaurant before staying; motorcycle meetings occasionally bring noise.

Great view over Toggenburg, very quiet at night, large parking area for vehicles of all sizes, freely selectable pitch, self-sufficiency required. The Hulftegg restaurant is extremely hospitable: uncomplicated host. I only ate a little from the huge Sunday buffet and he gave me a great price; the overnight parking was also free (tourist tax CHF 2). Simply wonderful that such places still exist. We had a meal at the Gasthaus Hulftegg, the food was lovely & service fantastic. We also asked permission to stay & they happily agreed. Please if you're going to stay, buy a few drinks or a meal as well. There was a bike meeting the evening we arrived which was loud but also entertaining. I'm not sure how long the bikes usually go on for but it was curtailed by the largest storm I've ever seen.
If you speak nicely with the restaurant, you may stay without any problems. Without communication, it is not really welcome. We live in the region and specifically checked this. Enjoy stopping by for a meal; it is worth it.Translating
