Unnamed Road, 3725, Frutigen
Been here?
4x4 access only
Getting here needs an off-road vehicle. Check your ground clearance before setting off.
A stunning but exposed spot up a long, narrow, steep track beside a working alpine pasture near Frutigen, with 270-degree panoramic views and near-total silence. Access is manageable without a 4x4. Cows roam freely and may damage vehicles, and a local farmer has aggressively told campers to leave, so overnight camping seems unwelcome despite no posted signs. A camping ban applies between 19:00 and 07:00. A water point is available shortly before the spot.

Do not go there!! The local farmer found us and shouted at us! We were forced to leave even though it was already 9 p.m. and we had taken all our equipment out! Very beautiful place, but staying there is strictly forbidden… really a shame because it is magnificent.Translating
Spot with an incredible panorama. The sunset over the mountains is splendid. The only downside is that the cows are at home and you risk having your vehicle damaged… We decided to stay only for a meal and go back down a little for the night.Translating
Relatively level pitch with an incredible view and absolute quiet. We met the owners of the three adjacent houses, who made no particular comment to us. Nevertheless, we did not stay, because it is currently a mountain pasture with many cows and calves wandering around the vehicle. (No sign, barrier, or fence was crossed.)Translating
Extraordinary view, absolute quiet, we spent one night. Water point a little before the spot.Translating
