Paved riverside site, noisy nights

The barrier is annoying. We were there at the weekend, and at night the road was noisy with constant shouting from teenagers. We did not feel comfortable.

Card payment by EC card or cash only—no Visa. Electricity included. Great site.

Very conveniently located for visiting the city. There is currently a notice hidden away saying that card payment does not work. It accepts a €10 note, but the payment machine should be labelled more clearly; as it is, it is not obvious. Otherwise, everything is great. Many thanks to the city.

Very noisy. The site is on a main road and near a roundabout. The pitches are surrounded by trees, and the motorhomes stand well on paving stones.

The parking area is great. Good value for money. Shops are just around the corner, and the Rhine is only a five-minute walk away.

Many thanks to the town for providing a parking area with these advantages. Free electricity and water/waste services for €10 are hard to find. However, when there are more vehicles than spaces, the access control seems to have several weaknesses. Inspections do not seem to be a priority for the town. It is simply a shame when €10 is too much for some users.

First of all, thanks to the town: for €10 including water/waste services and electricity, there is nothing to complain about. Within walking distance of the town centre, and not far from Rewe and Lidl for breakfast rolls. The night was very quiet.

The lovely lady who helped us with entering the area by exchanging 10 x 1€ coins, Thank You. The access machine would not allow payment with our bank card. Our stay here was great, it was quiet enough, easy to walk into the area we were interest, nice walk along the river. Access to shopping and food, we felt safe, all in all a good stopover. Just remember to bring €1 coins...

The ticket machine accepts an EC card. The pitches are a reasonable size. Traffic and trains are not a major disturbance. The service station is a bit grubby. Great location. Actually five stars. BUT: At night, suspicious youths ran around among the motorhomes, screaming like crazy and fighting. The town knows about the problem. It is a shame that nothing is being done. We will not return.

The slip you receive when entering is absolutely required to exit! You should leave exactly on time. If you want to extend your stay, check out at the machine using the old slip and, once the barrier has lowered again, check in anew. Since there is no light barrier, this also works without a motorhome.

Very pleasant site, not completely level; due to the trees, satellite reception is not guaranteed. The fortress is worth seeing. Great walk. Entry is simple: the barrier opens after payment when it shows “free”. I will gladly return. Do not confirm “Kuschel”. The width is marked. There is plenty of space on the pitch. The night was quiet.

Great location, nice place. Near the Rhein, near the historic centre. Black, grey waste, fresh water and electricity included in the €10 for 24 hours. Thanks to the town for providing this.

We stayed at the parking area on 11 October 2025; everything was fine. The site is level, although I still used levelling blocks. The price of €10 for 24 hours is perfectly reasonable. In the first picture there is a motorhome with an alcove; behind it is the footpath to the shopping centre, about 150 metres away. Many children and teenagers play exactly there and run through the pitches across the site, and they are impossible to miss. We had a quiet night.

First of all, thanks for this lovely parking area. Someone clearly thought things through when designing the automated arrival and registration. When all spaces are occupied, the barrier does not open. It does show when the next space is expected to become available.

We stayed here for one night while passing through and think the value for money is excellent. Everything you need is available. Electricity and water are free, as is emptying the cassette toilet. Card payment is possible, and the instructions are very easy to follow. We would return. Thanks to the town of Germersheim.

Great parking area for a stopover or visiting the town. Price and facilities are excellent. The pitches are sufficiently large and mostly level. Close to the railway station, shopping centre and Rhine. Electricity, water and waste disposal for only €10—really excellent. It is a shame that the machine does not accept credit cards and that the grey-water disposal area is somewhat narrow, but it is manageable.

A good place for trips into the town centre. The entrance control with barrier and the pitch layout are almost perfect. You can leave the site and reserve your pitch. The machine should state more clearly that it does not accept credit cards.

On the banks of the Rhine, 1 km away, with a friendly snack bar and bar. The town centre is nearby, with many guesthouses. Church on the St James pilgrimage route.

We keep coming back, usually for one week, and can only say positive things. The road and railway do not bother us. Occasionally there are groups of teenagers nearby or around the seating areas, but the noise remains within limits. PS: At the moment the site could use some maintenance, but everything is still in good shape.

The site is nice and the pitches are spacious. The only thing missing is a toilet. However, the little town is disappointing because it is rather drab. The town also seems to have little interest in improving it.

Very centrally located! You can stay here very well, BUT you have to like noise at night. The typical clientele is out until late with loud cars and conversations. Teenagers use the seating areas intended for campers. Otherwise, €10 including electricity and water is excellent. The Rhine is a five-minute walk away, as are a great beer garden, the railway and shops.

A very nice parking area. Just a few metres from the Rhine cycle path. Inexpensive at €10 per night, with free water and waste disposal. It is directly beside a road and near a railway line. A nice parking area, well laid out with water and waste services, including electricity, all for €10. There is a shopping centre and good restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, the night’s peace is disturbed by car and motorbike riders making a terrible racket. One thing you must pay attention to: the time on the exit ticket must not be exceeded. One minute over and you need a new ticket.

This evening, only six motorhomes. The ground is paved and slightly sloping, but there is no need for levelling blocks. I had trouble understanding the barrier-opening process, which was only available in German. With the help of a local person, I was able to enter by paying cash. The card reader was not working. Contrary to what is stated, water is free and electricity costs extra.

Actually a lovely site that would deserve five stars. BUT: It is currently Sunday, 19 January 2025, 00:37, and a gang of wild people is causing a disturbance at the roadside in front of the parking area; words fail me. We have been unable to sleep for about half an hour. Yesterday there was only brief shouting. Otherwise it was quiet. Shopping and eating next door were great. Four stars because it costs €10 including electricity and water.
