Riverside parking, overnight prohibited

We parked here last year and the next day the local police from Loja came and told us to leave, saying it is a protected nature reserve where overnight stays are prohibited. This year we parked behind the Riofrio restaurant.✦Translating

We went there, but the place was uneven and we could not level the vehicle. It was noisy because of the ducks beside it and the train passing overhead, so we chose another place and left.✦Translating

A wonderful place. The access is narrow and uneven as everyone says, and the ducks and geese are very noisy, but if you bring them stale bread or give them something to eat, they get so happy. For me, it is wonderful, and the locals are charming. By the way, the natural spring is beside the ruins, directly ahead and below the fig tree; there are stone steps on the right, there.✦Translating

A very good and peaceful place to spend the night. In the morning, you are woken by the ducks and geese from the pond right beside you. It is also a beautiful place for a walk along the river and to visit some ruins.✦Translating

Very good spot, but be very careful on the way back, as my 7.25-meter-long and 2.32-meter-wide motorhome almost got stuck. Keep that in mind. Everything else was excellent!✦Translating

Wonderful stop for one night. It was a pain to get level and we picked up a bit of rubbish but after that it’s all good. Lovely walks, friendly people in the village and funny geese who love oats. Please leave tidy x

Nice place to spend the night. As they say, there were lots of beautiful ducks, until midnight! After that they were less charming—there were times we felt like putting them in the oven! Haha. If you do not mind noise or are not traveling with children, it is fine, because they made noise around the van all night.✦Translating
