Been here?
A small, mostly level gravel car park beside the canal, suitable for quiet overnight stays when space is available. It can be muddy and potholed, with low-hanging branches, although the height barrier is locked open. A marina shop uphill sells gas and other supplies, and there is a pub within walking distance. Canal walks are nearby, with little night noise, but spaces may be occupied by boaters’ vehicles.

Tried to park last night early hours of morning to catch a couple of hours shut eye after hours driving in my camper. The car park was pretty full of vehicles that obviously get left there perhaps from Canal boaters so had to reverse out and give it up. Imagine it would be a lovely little spot though if you could get in.
Great location. Walked to the pub and had a few pints and a meal, really nice. Fairly flat a few other vans. Not too much noise.
nice little spot, arrived at 2am and found a place, nice and quiet, bit muddy but decent for an overnight stay. height barrier locked open.
Excellent park up. Very peaceful right next to the canal. I picked up 3 black bags of rubbish but there was plenty left. A couple of other campers there but very quiet.
Our first night in our van. Couldn't have picked a better car park. A few other vans were parked up and another parent with his children (i also have a 7&8year old) felt at ease within minutes. Quiet location.
A quiet gravel car park, off the beaten track and right next to the canal. Mostly level, with some overhanging tree branches. No height restriction in place currently. Plenty of spaces when we arrived on a Wednesday evening. Lovely walk along the canal.
Stayed recently for a night, plenty of parking spots. Height restriction barrier not in use however, low hanging trees so if you have a high roof be careful.
Nice and shady, quite a few cars but apparently for the boaters as there was very little movement. Lovely to walk along the canal in the early morning. Height barrier still not in use.
Lovely place. Quiet. Lots of potholes, and very muddy in places. Don't arrive at night!
Secluded woodland car park, loads of cars but no people around. Discovered that there’s a lovely canal walk. Great park up! There is a height barrier which doesn’t seem to be in use. Family of 5 and a dog… good nights sleep
Arrived Friday evening about 10pm, 10 mins drive from M1 motorway. Canal & River Trust carpark, 2.1m hight barrier, but locked open and looks like its permanent. Few cars already parked up, with some looking like been there for a long time. Quite and secluded, very peaceful night, few bird sounds, only real issue was lots of litter around, spoilt the feel of this lovely spot.
It was great, but we stepped in human excrement and my toiletry bag fell into it. It is ruined. It was a good toiletry bag... So be careful when arriving at night and keep your eyes open.
Quiet parking area with cars that probably belong to boaters on the river below. You can hear the motorway and railway line, which are not very far away, but it is fine for one night. If you follow the canal for about 500 meters, there are toilets and water. No height restriction. Lots of rubbish on the ground, with no bins, but that is no reason to leave it there.
