Sønderport 4, 6270, Tønder
Been here?
A modern motorhome area with 46 spacious, level gravel pitches, about a 10-minute walk from central Tønder. Toilets, showers, waste disposal, WiFi, laundry, a shared kitchen and e-bike charging are available; electricity costs 6 DKK/kWh. Prices start from 175 DKK/night. The self-service check-in is available 24/7 but can be difficult to understand, and fresh-water service has recently delivered limited quantities at 1€ per 10 LT.

Automated area. Check-in is hidden inside a wooden building, signage is poor, and electricity and water must be purchased in advance. When filling with water, only 20 liters were dispensed because the credit had run out. In addition, filling works by selecting each 10-liter amount using the code sent. Not very practical.
Nice, clean area. The welcome is basically: “If you are not one of us, we do not want you.” You arrive and find a keypad near the entrance barrier, with nobody to help and no instructions or signs. Everything is complicated. €1 for 10 liters of water seems a bit expensive.
Simple, lively site—fine for one night. Beautiful town center.
Well-maintained campsite with spacious pitches and available, functional services, close to Tønder. Everything is automated, so if you manage to figure out how it works, it is convenient when arriving outside daytime hours. There is a reception by the pool that closes at 3 p.m. The price is a little high: 195 DKK, or €26, without electricity.
Actually a good site, but the gravel is very noisy and uncomfortable. The worst thing is that I was not refunded the electricity deposit I had paid in advance, and nobody feels responsible. I can only warn people about this. Never again for me.
Good wide pitches and fine facilities. Excellent location very close to town centre.
The town center is reachable within a few minutes on foot. The site is away from road noise. The outdoor sports courts were not in use during our stay. Waste disposal works, but only a few liters of fresh water came out at a time. Check-in and check-out are easy, including in German. Unfortunately, all paths are covered with very coarse gravel, making them difficult to drive and walk on.
Practical information: until 2025, the services were accessible and free. Today, neither is the case. It is a shame they did not set up access to paid services.
We spent two nights at this very nice campsite. Large pitches and all services. Very close to the center.
.Owner was very helpful and friendly. Problems checking in on the machine. Wouldn’t accept English credit card. Therefore we had no electricity which was extra and was debited on the card. Stayed for 2 nights. Football fields right next to site where teenagers playing football until midnight.Toilet blocks clean but dated, needs maintenance Disabled toilet was awful, dirty and old.
It's a lovely campsite with modern electricity in the motorhome area. The washing machines do a 30 minute wash and there are dryers, quite inexpensive. We spent two nights as the town is so pretty and the weather was good.
It is a clean and tidy pitch at the back of the campsite. Please note when approaching: do not follow the address, but follow the signs for motorhomes/campsite. Check-in is quite easy, using a machine about 50 metres before the barrier.
The pitch costs 145 kroner without electricity. Electricity costs an extra 60 kroner. Simply book what you want at the terminal. The code is on the receipt and opens the barrier. Water must also be booked at the terminal. Very nicely laid-out pitch.
Very good motorhome pitch. Good showers and toilets, good Wi-Fi, and the town is within walking distance. Check-in is somewhat complicated, but after several failed attempts it works well. Select a pitch and enter your email address. You receive all information by email. Enter the code at the barrier. No code is needed to leave, as the number plate is stored.
Paid for one night with the camper, emptied wastewater and the toilet when we left. Could not get the van to rinse after emptying the toilet. The code showed no balance. Maybe because we had not purchased electricity?
Nicely laid-out site. Free shower facilities are available. They are older but clean. The site is right next to a football field. We paid 308 kroner for four people and electricity. Check-out is at 11, regardless of arrival time. However, the check-in system is completely incomprehensible! You get many options for choosing a pitch, but no explanation of the differences or whether they are more or less expensive.
The site is okay. However, the billing system works very poorly. At all the service points it said the code had expired. At check-out there was still credit remaining. The next guest had the same problem.
Good level surface. Clean bathrooms and a short walk into the charming little town of Tønder. We would stay here again.
An okay site, but what good is that when the whole area is full of caravans, and the few remaining spaces are reserved by caravans even though there is a campsite right next door? We had to leave because there were no available spaces, even though it is a motorhome site. Their website does not say that they fill the site with caravans.
Nice motorhome pitch, friendly welcome, and you are a 10-minute walk from the market square and Christmas market. We will definitely come back.
Not a bad motorhome spot, but do not park the front of your camper facing the sports field. You are guaranteed to get a ball on your windscreen.
Excellent stopover for €23 (DKK 170), including hot showers, electricity, and water and waste disposal.
Nice and quiet campsite, close to the centre. Walking paths and cycling routes start from the town.
Old campsite with a new motorhome area, hard-surfaced road and parking, and a grass area at each pitch. The toilet building is older but neat and clean. Check-in is in the entrance hall. With late arrival or on Sundays after noon, find a pitch and pay the next day. Price DKK 190 or €26. Close to the football field, but that is not a problem. Close to Tønder town with its pedestrian street and parks; use a bicycle to get around.
We arrived in the evening after reception had closed, so we set ourselves up independently and paid the next morning. Check-in and check-out at the same time. Water and waste disposal, showers, all okay. There are also rooms available for guests to use, especially in cold or bad weather.
We stayed one night. Large, level gravel pitches. €26 with all services; clean and tidy bathrooms and showers. Also suitable for very long motorhomes. Recommended!
Very well-maintained area. Very quiet next to the town. It has two zones, one for motorhomes and another for caravans. Ideal for spending a few relaxing days! We loved staying here.
The pitch is okay and the price is okay, but since motorhomes are not allowed on the actual campsite, they stand separately between sports fields that are actively used from 7 a.m. until late evening. Very noisy here. Fresh water currently out of order.
Excellent location for visiting Tønder. Very clean bathrooms and facilities. The pitches are really large and grassy. Be careful to check out by 11.
Spent one night here on 27 July. Perfect, clean facilities, quiet area, and a patch of grass in front of the motorhome. I would gladly return.
Clean and well-maintained place near the historic centre. Numerous clean facilities; a kitchen area with an oven and stovetops is available to guests, along with a small covered table for four people. Small playground for children.
Great! Spacious grass pitches. Everything included and available: showers, toilet, kitchen, washing machines and dryer, electricity, and water and waste disposal. Close to the pretty old town. Current price about €26.65 per night.
A nice motorhome pitch, with each pitch having its own green area. Sanitary facilities are on the neighbouring campsite, and everything is clean and available. The city is truly only a 10-minute walk away, so the location is very central. Tønder is always worth another visit.
We spent our first night in Denmark here. The pitches are beautifully maintained, with gravel everywhere and freshly mown grass pitches. Wonderful. Excellent showers and facilities. To pay, you have to leave the motorhome area; when you are about to rejoin the main road, the campsite is on the right.
