Hebden Bridge Road, BD22 9QE, Oxenhope
Been here?
A large gravelled lay-by with space for multiple vehicles and views over the hills and reservoir. It is slightly sloped, with some flat areas, and is exposed to weather. Traffic and occasional noisy vehicles can pass at night, while mornings are busier. There is one bin and a public footpath beside the spot, making it good for dog walks; sheep are nearby.

I pulled in and was going to stay here but ended up opting for a spot a little further along the same road. Huge gravel lay-by, loads of space for multiple vehicles (there was another van getting set up while I was there) and lovely views over the hills and reservoir. My only concern was because there is so much space you risk having a lot of neighbours and not everyone is quiet and respectful.
Positives: fantastic views and very convenient, not many visitors and good phone signal (EE). Negatives: Exposed (although that doesn't bother us), not easy to get level, Traffic and occasional boy-racers passing all night, including someone who felt the need to learn on his horn at 02:00!! Overall though, a good spot.
Good night's sleep and great walking.Translating
the footpath is along the Thornton Moor Conduit, which is a man made channel moving water around several reservoirs, so was an interesting dog walk. Not much traffic but a few late cars pulling in with music playing. Overall a good nights sleep and pleasant view.
