2-4 Route de l'Arceau, 79150, Saint-Maurice-la-Fougereuse
Been here?
Small spot with 2 parking places offering excellent value at €2/night with water, electricity, toilets, and wastewater disposal. Quiet village setting near a pond, with shade, tables, and a pétanque court. Church bells ring at 7am. A bar is nearby; the supermarket is closed.

In reality, there are only two spaces and two 10-amp electrical outlets. Beware of large vehicles; it is possible to park in the adjacent parking area, but it is used by motorists. We could not resist.
€2 for one night, including electricity, public toilet, water, and grey-water drainage. Thanks to this municipality for the welcome. Small bar on the square, but the mini-market was closed.
Thank you to the municipality for making this pleasant place available to motorhome users, with its pond and everything we need. Many municipalities with more resources should follow this example.
A top spot. Beautiful and very quiet. All services including electric for €2, payable at the Marie. There doesn't seem to be a way to pay at the weekend, perhaps the Marie should add a payment box. Thanks to the commune, I would highly recommend. Church bells rang at 7am, but didn't detract from our wonderful stay
Thank you to the town hall for this nice place.
We stopped expecting to have a good night, but unfortunately that was not the case. We arrived at 8:30 p.m. and left at 10:30 p.m. because the person who I assume lives on this site and has probably claimed it as their own photographed us because our dog was tied up during our meal and supposedly looked unhappy, lol. They kept spying on us for the two hours we were there.
Very beautiful pitch. Everything is provided: water, electricity, toilets, shade, and tables with benches on the area bordering the pond. A very peaceful place. Exceptional rates, and the town-hall staff are extremely pleasant. Many thanks again to the mayor and elected officials.
Very good stopover. For €2, the town hall is really great: water, toilets, and electricity, which we did not use. There is a pond with tables under the trees. Good spot, thanks to the town hall.
Lovely stop for one night after our Ferry from Dover to Calais. Was a small and quiet village. We arrived on Saturday so nothing open unfortunately and the same again when we left on Sunday. Only €2 for the night. Beautiful scenery and lovely to hear the church bells when we woke in the morning.
Small, well-equipped parking area. The bells did not disturb us. The pétanque court was welcome after our bike ride, as was the pond for an after-dinner walk. It is a shame that the household-waste container was locked.
Many thanks to the municipality. Very nice place, and well maintained!
Thanks to the municipality for welcoming motorhomes in a parking area with all the amenities (only household waste bins are inaccessible). A small, well-maintained and flower-filled lake. Be careful: if you park facing the lake, your overhang may extend too far into the middle of the shared parking area. The bells ring every hour, but they did not stop us from sleeping.
Thanks to the town hall for providing a motorhome area with water, electricity and sanitation, all in a very pleasant setting. We had a good night's sleep there. Other municipalities could follow their example.
A truly French village. Many thanks to the municipality; a very pleasant and welcoming area. A very quiet night, with no noise apart from the sounds of our sensory heritage, which fortunately is protected by the law of January 29, 2021. Thank you. Five stars.
Nice, clean and quiet. Thanks to the municipality for these services.
Very peaceful surroundings, in the middle of a small village without shops. Also nice for a picnic. Poor 4G/5G.
Thanks to the municipality for this charming spot.
Very good, no noise and an extremely peaceful night. A few more cars pass during the day on the road, but nothing bothersome. For the electrical connection, bring a long extension cable; otherwise you have to park near the dumping point, which is inconvenient for those who want to use the service facilities. Thanks to the municipality.
Lovely location in the town center, near a lake. Beautiful bike rides on the surrounding country roads. 30 minutes from Doué-la-Fontaine Zoo, 40 minutes from the Saumur caves and 45 minutes from Puy du Fou. A vending machine selling bread, meat and preserves directly from local producers is 1 km away, on the RD748 toward Argentonnay, opposite the Terrena cooperative. Very convenient!
Thanks to the municipality for the free or nearly free services. However, as mentioned previously, the bells ring every hour, even at night, and go into overdrive at 7 a.m. Very little internet coverage with Bouygues.
Thanks to the town hall for this motorhome area equipped with electricity, toilets and water. €2 per night. However, the bells ring on the half-hour and on the hour, twice in succession, 24 hours a day.
