Been here?
A spacious, level free motorhome area in nature near the small village of Griegos, with walking routes in the surrounding mountains. Recent reports say the site is poorly maintained, has no usable water and grey water does not drain. Black-water cleaning may still be available. Use the marked route through the village, as the alternative gravel approach is steep and difficult.

An area without water and without maintenance.
A place that can help for one night, but there is no water pressure for filling the motorhome.
Large, flat open area on the mountainside. The village is right nearby; it is small but charming. Several interesting routes in the surrounding area; one recommended route goes from the area to the ski station.
We did not particularly like it. A somewhat gloomy place. The water did not work. There is shade. We drove on.
Everything was fine until Sunday, August 24, at 1 a.m., when a group of youths around 16 years old threw stones at us, one of them large enough to split our heads open. We had to leave in the middle of the night, with the resulting risk of an accident involving animals. The councillor tried hard to help us, but obviously it was impossible to find the culprits.
The drinking water is shut off and has no thread; only the toilet-rinsing tap works. Close to the village, but with no other attraction.
Very neglected place, no drinking water, grey-water drains that do not work, and difficult access.
Wonderful to be alone at the motorhome site near Griegos. After breakfast, we enjoyed a delicious cortado at the hostel in the village.
It serves its purpose but is somewhat neglected. We recommend taking the road signposted for the village to enter; the other route is quite steep and, being unpaved, the climb can be difficult depending on the vehicle. We spent some very peaceful nights.
It serves its purpose. No other attractions.
A decent service area with wastewater disposal, but no rubbish bins. It accommodates quite a few campers, except those who park the wrong way around. You have to imagine the butterfly museum, because it closes whenever it feels like it. And the only bar in the village charges €17 for the weekday homemade menu! I think they imagine they are on Madrid’s Castellana. A perfect place if you are passing through and only want to sleep or eat.
Just leaving. The site is not maintained unfortunately, only black water cleaning available. There is a clearly marked entry route which is much better than the gravel hill we used by mistake! A very tranquil night, we got up at 4am to gaze at the starry night and listen to owls.
The access is along a forest track. The area is spacious, but it has no water… there are taps, but that is all. We were only able to empty wastewater.
Peaceful villages, paved ground, grey water works. Unfortunately, neither the fresh water nor the toilet-cleaning water worked.
The access has recently been repaired, so much so that the machines are parked here, but there is plenty of space. Hardly any water comes out.
Difficult access; in the end we gave up staying overnight and chose Orihuela del Tremedal. The butterfly museum we wanted to visit is not open when they say it is.
I look for areas like this to enjoy the surroundings with my pet. Privileged location. You need three days to fill the water tank because there is no pressure. The rubbish must be taken to the roadside container 300 metres away. We will return in summer to enjoy its exceptional climate.
Located in the middle of nature. All services work. Maximum tranquillity. We spent one very peaceful night. It is worthwhile.
Five stars for the peace and surroundings, with level pitches. There is a small grocery shop in the village with everything necessary. In January, the lack of shade is not a disadvantage. I do not fill my tank with the water. When you let the water run into a bucket, you can see its greenish colour. It may not be harmful to health, but could possibly cause algae growth in the tank.
We give 3 stars because of the difficult access, with the track eroded by rainwater, and because of the low water pressure. Nevertheless, thanks to the town council! Very flat and level ground, 5 minutes from the village. A very quiet place to spend the night. We recommend the excursion to the sinkholes.
Very complete service area; the only drawback is that it has no shade, and when the heat is intense there is nowhere to stay. Thanks to the Griegos town council for providing this area; we will try not to leave it dirty.
Very quiet place in wonderful surroundings. Disposal for grey and black water and a couple of taps, although one barely produces any water and the other has low pressure. Great routes for mountain biking and hiking.
