Been here?
This is the parking area of Cura Sanctuary, offering wonderful views across the island and level parking suitable for larger vehicles. The monastery has toilets, a restaurant, hotel and shop, although the toilets may close at night. The site can be busy with restaurant customers, staff, coaches and cyclists, while nights are often quiet. Serpentine access is manageable, and mosquitoes, nearby masts and occasional generator noise are reported.

Avoid it... We arrived at 9:45 p.m. and were surprised to find the car park full of people because there is simply a hotel and restaurant at the sanctuary. Countless comings and goings by customers and staff, of course! It is impossible to be alone here, perhaps except in the off-season. A toilet is available but closed in the evening.
Not recommended. A great many transmission masts.
In the shade, perfect for a nap. A generator nearby is somewhat noisy. Toilets not very clean...
There is a bit more activity here during the day, but it was very quiet at night. The approach via the hairpin bends was manageable. The car park is also suitable for larger vehicles, and level parking is easy. Unfortunately, there aren't many hiking opportunities. In bad weather, it isn't worth driving up :)
Very quiet and cool place to sleep in summer. Some cyclists arrived in the morning, but without problems.
In the area farthest from the entrance to the sanctuary, there were young people eating sunflower seeds in folding chairs and smoking illegal substances, but they were not making a disturbance. It is simply a meeting place—a hangout for local youth. At night you practically don't notice them if you park on the left after reaching the halfway point of the car park. Toilets are open during the day, roughly from 10 to 20. Good views.
Perfect for the night. Wonderful sanctuary, a peaceful place, and there is also a café, restaurant, toilets, a hotel, and a shop. In the morning you wake up to a spectacular 360-degree view.
Beautiful place with a great view. Early in the morning you are still alone; from 9 a.m. onward it becomes hectic with tour buses and a huge number of road cyclists. Because of the heavy traffic, it is best to drive the road very early or after 5 p.m.
