Unnamed Road
Been here?
A small, quiet gravel car park behind the dunes with direct access to a beautiful sandy beach. The narrow, rough roads make access difficult, especially for vehicles longer than 6m, and space can be tight during the day. Two portaloos and a toy library are available, but phone signal is minimal and there are no other services.

Beautiful pitch with direct access to the beach. We did not sleep there. Toilets closed in early October.
Stunning spot. I perhaps wouldn't want to go in a van longer than 6m because of the roads leading there. Stayed with about 4 other vans
A little slice of heaven. Services include 2 x portoloos and a toy library. Phone signal was minimal. Great for swimming. We stayed 1 night. It was tight for space as its a small car park. As the weather was amazing we had to wait for space to free up. It was worth the wait. No other services and access roads are very narrow but lots of places to stop to let traffic pass along the way.
Dooey beach. Crazy roads leading to it, narrow and badly need repair. A bit of a drive but worth it. Space enough for at least 10 cars. I counted. Stayed in my car with another 5-6 camper vans. No signs for “no overnight parking”. Phone signal patchy. Nice swimming area, popular with surfers.
Really nice place in the evening, with nobody there except us and the neighbouring herd of cows. It was a very windy evening; we parked facing the wind, so there was not too much shaking and we slept well. Beautiful beach and an isolated sauna at the end of the beach, which seemed very pleasant.
One of our favourite spots in West Donegal. the car park is small but the beach makes up for it. Fantastic sunsets and walks on an immense beach over 1.5 km long.
Small gravel parking very popular with local dog walkers and sauna visitors. Beautiful long hard packed sandy beach! Busy during the day and empty and quiet at night. On Saturday we were alone and on Sunday had one more van overnight. Road to the parking 4 km of very narrow single track with almost no pullovers. OK phone signal.
Good spot to stay and access the beach. Great beach to surf and walk on.
Wow, what a spot!! Stunning. We were there in November so only van staying overnight. Lots of people parking during day to walk dogs, etc. There is a portal onside, you have to be brave to use these. No other services, not even bins, take your rubbish with you when you leave. Difficult single track with couple switchbacks, not good for big motorhomes.
Narrow roads indeed to get here but it is a worthy beach. Absolutely packed with surfers when we arrive at 7pm but they left not long after that. Just us and one other camper for the night. Unreal sunset. Clean portaloo.
Beach parking. We were there in strong winds with a van whose roof was open. The dunes provide some shelter, but not completely, so choose according to the weather. Otherwise very quiet; we were alone. Very beautiful beach with great waves. Portable toilet in the parking area. Sauna at the end of the beach, bookable by phone.
