A flat, clean gravel parking area 20m from the road, suitable for around 3 vans. It is generally quiet, with good views of the sky and nearby countryside, although midges can be a nuisance. A hidden camera was reported in the bushes, so this may not be suitable for staying overnight.

Intended to park here for the night but noticed a spy camera hidden in the bushes at ground level! We quickly left!
Ideal stopover, quiet and with a good view of the sky. Also flat, gravelled and clean. But beware of midges.
Nice, quiet spot set slightly back from the road. Comfortable space for three vans, but it could fit more if they were packed in. Easy to reach and on a fairly quiet road.
Ideal park up for an overnight. Parked in the smaller space to the right as it felt more private. Although it's not far from the road its still v quiet and only a couple of cars passed at night. lovely spot for listening to birdsong and watching the stars. not far at all from clatteringshaw visitor centre and only 15/20 mins drive to Newton Stewart or st Johns for shops and garages.
