A well-maintained, quiet picnic area in a shaded pine forest, with several table-and-chair areas. Fresh water is available from a threaded tap beside the roadside, and pools are about 100 m downhill. The paved approach is steep, the route is currently difficult, and vehicles over 6 m are discouraged.

Very peaceful, airy, in the heart of a pine forest and well maintained. We had a great picnic here. No view of the Douro, and because a road is closed, the route to get there is a little challenging. As it is, not recommended for vehicles over 6 m or overcab motorhomes!
