Large, free parking beside the ferry terminal, useful for spending a few hours before catching the ferry or staying overnight. It is generally quiet, although Friday evening music has continued until 00:00. The ferry terminal and town are within easy reach.

Large, free parking by the ferry terminal. Spend the few hours before catching a ferry.
Spend one night. Friday evening so a lot of music till 00:00 . But good place if you go to stena lines ferry early morning ;)
We came here after shopping to explore the city on foot. I could also imagine staying here before check-in. Very quiet.
We stayed here for one night. Good place for the city, dining (Bürger Bärs Ventspils), and sleeping.
Large car park. Level. Quiet nights sleep. Nice town with all amenities. Best spot as next door with clock chimes was busy in the morning.
On Friday evening there was an open-air party nearby until 5:00 a.m. As so often in Latvia, the bass was pounding. Next time, even for a ferry check-in, I would rather arrive in the morning.
Good parking lot for the day. Toilets are available in the tourist information office. Overall, too bleak for the night, so we drove out to the river.
We did not find the bells very disturbing; the bass speakers of the young drivers were more of an issue. Overall, everything was okay and safe.
