Strada Torre Foghe, 09079, Tresnuraghes
Been here?
4x4 access only
Getting here needs an off-road vehicle. Check your ground clearance before setting off.
This remote off-road spot has a large, flat grassy area, striking views, and small sandy beaches nearby. Access is extremely demanding, with deep gulleys, steep rocky sections, and heavily eroded tracks. A 4x4 and suitable ground clearance are essential, and recovery has reportedly cost 600 euro. The place is very peaceful once reached and is intended only for experienced off-road drivers.

It was possible to get here in a Land Cruiser J7 without a differential lock. Continuing south along the road without a differential lock failed. Getting back up was then very difficult. But it is a very beautiful place.Translating
Too difficult to acess, even by 4x4. I had to get recovery to pull me out for 600 euro.
Beautiful place. We drove down in a VW T4 Syncro, which was already quite a challenge, and then the climb back up over the loose rocks was exhausting. We eventually made it up. But only for experienced off-roaders with nerves of steel.Translating
Very nice place! We had a very quiet night. Apart from a few off-road drivers, nobody was there. The roads were easy for us with a 3,250 kg Ford Ranger, raised suspension, and all-terrain tires. Without 4x4, it is no longer possible to get back up.Translating
Caution: roads are extremely washed out, only for experienced drivers. We went down in our Unimog ExMo, which was quite exciting in places. You are rewarded with a wonderful view, and we had two peaceful nights in pure nature. Please take your rubbish with you! It is still extremely clean here, and it should stay that way. Only a few hikers passed by during the day.Translating
Beautiful place with unparalleled tranquility. The road is quite challenging; an experienced driver or a vehicle with suitable tires is required.Translating
One of the most beautiful places. The access road is quite washed out, so you should know your driving abilities. I would only drive here with a 4x4. As a passenger, I felt uneasy from time to time.Translating
Amazing spot, as described in the other comments. The road is very challenging, with very deep ruts. We had few problems with a raised Jimny. Highly recommended if you are prepared.Translating
The road there is very challenging. We were there with a Ford Ranger on June 3, 2024. It was probably washed out by rain. It is best to inspect it on foot first and then drive up. 4x4 is absolutely essential, as is good ground clearance.Translating
Spent a few days there. Beautiful spot. Need a really 4x4 to get there. Recommend walking the trail first. Previous camper told us he had a visit from wild dogs but we didn’t in 4 day
Beautiful place to enjoy the wonderful surroundings peacefully and alone. Easy to drive with my Unimog 416. Four-wheel drive and ground clearance are essential!Translating
Anyone driving down here without four-wheel drive and a differential lock is really brave! Anyone who gets back up without them can either drive extremely well or perform magic! Seriously! Know your limits—or those of your vehicle. I was slightly sweating with fear in the T3 Syncro.Translating
We arrived in our VW T5 after dark. As mentioned in the other comments, the access road is badly washed out, and some experience choosing the right track is helpful! In a proper off-roader, it is not dramatic. The road is fun! We did not make it all the way down and spent a quiet night 500 meters before it, near a tower ruin.Translating
We spent one night. Great spot with a magnificent view. The access is difficult and only suitable for 4x4 vehicles. We have a camper cell.Translating
We have tried but at the end reached it only on feet. Road has large deep “trenches” and holes from the water, you need a vehicle with big tyres (AT/MT) and with big axle stretching. The surrounding is quite “psychotic”, with an old watch tower and typical Sardinian nature. Next time with more prepared vehicle; I’ll be back
