Unnamed road, 12490, Montjaux
Been here?
A peaceful fishing and canoe stopover on the Tarn, with grass, trees and direct river access. The approach is extremely steep and can be difficult or impossible to climb, especially after rain. A Ducato had to be recovered by tractor, while an Opel Vivaro took at least 15 minutes to get back up. It is intended for light vehicles only.

The slope is far too steep. We scraped the undercarriage going down with a Ducato L2H2 and could not get back up; we had to find a tractor.
Great, very peaceful and pleasant spot with access to the lake, so fantastic! However, with our Opel Vivaro we had great difficulty getting back up the slope; it took us at least 15 minutes. Otherwise, the place is really cool.
Great place! Be sure to check the next day's weather. No problem with a 4x4. Van drivers, beware if it rains overnight! Otherwise, excellent access to the Tarn. Please respect the place!
The spot is really nice, with grass and trees and direct access to the river! It is a parking area for fishermen, so it is fully permitted, unlike all the other spots along the Tarn we had seen earlier on private property. The only problem is that the descent is very steep! We had great difficulty leaving with our H2L2 because it was very slippery and rainy. Fine in dry weather ✌️
