A clean, established campsite directly on the Ruhr River and Ruhr Valley Cycle Path, with restaurants nearby. A camper for 2 people with electricity costs 36,50€ per night. Sanitary facilities are older but clean, and water, electricity, and disposal are available. Children are welcome, and Hattingen is about 15 minutes away by bicycle.

We were welcomed very kindly. It is a neat campsite, with sufficient sanitary facilities, and it is clean. It is a 15-minute bike ride to Hattingen’s old town. In Hattingen you can also take the train and be in Essen in 20 minutes. For a motorhome with two people and electricity, we paid €36.50 per night.
A clean campsite that is showing its age. Friendly lady at reception. We paid €33 per night for a motorhome with two adults. Children are welcome here.
Unfriendly toward anyone who has a family.
We stayed here for a long weekend. The sanitary facilities are old but clean. Many long-term campers who are not happy about visitors. The manager responds quickly to emails and was friendly. The pitches are large. The site is on the Ruhr and there is a restaurant nearby. Everything was fine. Payment is cash only.
We called at short notice to stay one night with our camper. It was absolutely straightforward and very friendly. We received a warm welcome and had a nice pitch. Electricity and water were included. The water and waste facilities were very easy to access. All in all, a really nice place; we slept peacefully and well. If we are in the area, we will stop by again.
Only suitable for long-term campers. They are not happy about visitors.
