Harbour parking, variable overnight noise

Amazing space when available, however, be aware that intermittently parking is suspended for council events: Currently parking suspension signs: NO Parking between 20th-28th July 2026

Large parking area without services near the submarine museum. We spent the night here; there were other motorhomes parked here.

Good daytime parking, but noisy in the evening because of cinema visitors.

Perfect for visiting all the sites in the area. I did not spend the night there, however.

Just for walking around, not far from the beach and the pier for night fishing. We did not sleep there because there were many boats.

We wanted to sleep here, but shortly after 9 p.m. a ship arrived and left its engine running… Sleep was impossible! We crossed the bridge to Avenue de la Vieille Ville, where we found a place on the street.

We spent a quiet, undisturbed night from September 28 to 29. No noise and no strange people.

An average place. Be careful of people approaching and trying to extort money for food while dressed like they came from a fashion magazine :)

Actually a nice parking lot right next to the old Nazi submarine bunker. The police drove by twice and did not object to the row of motorhomes of all sizes. Harbor view. Five minutes’ walk to the town. What makes the parking lot rather unsuitable for overnight stays are about ten very old motorhomes belonging to locals who apparently live there, consume a lot of alcohol, hold long conversations at uncontrolled volume and listen to equally loud music. It really starts around 10 p.m. I ended up driving 19 km farther at around 11 p.m. to spend the night peacefully.

loads of space to park,loads motorhomes. visited the submarine it was ace! Big submarine station built by Germans, really interesting. lots to see.
